Thanks Mick - he is a stud!
Great-looking page and piece in the @heraldsunsport earlier this week by @JoshHigginsFOX on the rise of Aussie @TBazzana in the @MLB - worth your time to learn about one of the rising stars of America’s favourite pastime.
Perfect day for some NBL basketball, hey Perth people?
Who else is heading to RAC Arena tonight? Reckon we’re in for a ripping game.
The Wildcats will be eager to get one back after their Round 1 loss to the Phoenix, while South East Melbourne will be looking to bounce back after going down to United last round.
JLA being out definitely hurts Perth, but I guess this is exactly why they brought Angus Brandt back!
Who have you got tonight? 👀
I’m going for the people in green!

He couldn't have ripped off that Taipans shirt quick enough... and I don't blame him!
But in all seriousness, well done young fella - this is truly incredible and well deserved.
Highly rated prospected with plenty of upside at arguably the biggest college in the US!

Luke Paul, a 6'6 guard from Australia, announces to @WindhorstESPN his commitment to Duke on NBA Today 🏀
WOW, there is time no NBL fan is getting back!
It’s lucky the game was close but I’m sorry… no one wants to see six high level players foul out in a game.
Tassie grind out the win, United had too much work to do late but the biggest talking point is the referees. That was incredibly disappointing to watch but I’m sure it will be cleared and no questions asked.
When can we address this properly, feels like it’s been a problem for a number of years?
AFL and NRL refs cop it every week and adjust, people talk in the NBL, but never any changes?

TEAM FOR THE ROUND
Two trades this week:
OUT:
Keanu Pinder
Will Hickey
IN:
Bryce Cotton
Johny Narkle
Big call now is the captaincy… Cotton or Velicka? 👀
What trades did you make this round, who gets your captaincy and what’s your projected score?

I’ve just gone back and rewatched Perth v Adelaide and here are some of my takeaways:
- The 36ers did in fact go into the ‘Bryce-centric’ offence Gleeson was talking about, but is that their one wood for the season? Who else can consistently step up around him when they need a big bucket?
- Elijah Pepper is going to benefit massively from having a point guard in this lineup. He can space the floor, catch and shoot and won’t have the responsibility of getting the offence going all game.
- Dylan Windler just needs to back himself. When he’s aggressive, he’s a completely different player compared to when he’s reserved, which happens too often.
- Nick Rakocevic is the starting centre for this team. There’s no question about it.
- Jo Lual-Acuil looks aggressive, strong and all-in to start the season. He caused problems at stages last night, but the question now is whether he can do it consistently.
Overall, a good win by Perth, but still plenty of room for improvement for both teams.
Flynn Cameron and Isaac Humphries are still to come back for the 36ers, while Brandon Knight will join Perth’s lineup sooner rather than later.

Alright NBL SuperCoach fans, here it is... my team for the start of NBL27 👀
I’m fading PJC. Right move? Who knows, but there’s a long season ahead 😂
And @NBLPleb where’s your team, mate?
Haven’t signed up yet? Get on it... just over 28 hours until Game 1!

How good for Cam Green. 👏
His first Test century on Australian soil, and what a time to deliver it.
A seriously gutsy knock from a player who has had to deal with plenty over the past few years.

Well batted, Cameron Green! 👏👏👏
His third Test century and his first in Australia!
