I've been paying for the domain for years, so I've finally linked it to a portfolio website, tying together all the various threads of my life.
My PR work, my writing across anime and gaming, and maybe even fiction - all together at joshastevens.com
Heartbreaking. Eric Bauza was a generational talent, and taken from us so young.
I loved watching interviews where he would cycle through the Looney Tunes characters like it was no effort at all. Meanwhile, I can’t do an impression of one!
May he rest in peace.
Eric Bauza, the Emmy Award-winning voice actor behind Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, died Sunday at his home as a result of hypertensive cardiovascular disease, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records. He was 46.

Whoever at @SquareEnix came up with this is a goddamn genius, and I love them. #MCMLondon
ALT A water refill station featuring an ad with Tifa from Final Fantasy for the Final Fantasy Remake series, which as a joke, they refer to as Remake, Rebirth, and Refill.
The Outlook app is so stupid. I was in a frenzy trying to find my ticket for MCM Comic Con tomorrow, fearing that I might be cooked.
There was no trace of my ticket. I eventually thought “this is becoming a big screen issue” and took out my laptop. Found it instantly.
As a guy, I've developed romantic feelings for friends. I've never gone into a friendship with that intention, but sometimes it just happens. I was turned down by one of my closest friends 10 years ago, but I think we're still friends today because I respected their answer.

What a disappointing past couple of days for film criticism discourse.
I'm a PR who largely specialises in animation. @RyanGaur is one of the most dedicated and well-versed animation critics in the UK, and even if he wasn't, his opinion on a film would still deserve respect.
Appreciation of art is a very individual thing. With all the focus on aggregators, people have forgotten that the key has never been to collect positive reviews like Pokémon. Instead, find a critic whose taste aligns more closely with yours, and follow them.

The first permanent physical Pokémon retail store is opening outside of Asia... and it’s coming to London by 2029! 🤩

This is INCREDIBLE news. For years, I’ve said that a permanent Pokémon Center would do incredibly well in the UK.
I just hope it captures all the charm of the stores in Japan. I loved visiting those during my trip a few years ago.
Serebii Update: The first permanent retail Pokémon location outside of Asia is set to open in London in 2029. It will be the first of several.
More information is to come

This is genuinely incredible. Cygames would have had no legal obligation, and this will no doubt cost them millions on top of what they’ve already lost.
Mad respect.
We have updated the details of reimbursement for trainers who had planned to attend 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I'm seeing discourse about a critic publishing a review from a public screening, ahead of a wider press embargo. As a film PR, I don't think they did anything wrong - they didn't sign an embargo.
Instead, I'd question why the embargo wasn't set to lift before public showings.
This really sucks for North American fans, but I fear for the eventual London date announcement and ticket sales. I hope that UK and European fans are given a fair shot at tickets, and Americans don’t snap them all up…
It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancellation of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby – 7th EVENT: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES concerts planned for Oct 22–23, 2026.
Although we have coordinated repeatedly with all parties concerned and explored every possible option in our efforts to make this event happen, we were unable to obtain the necessary visas for entry into the US, so we have come to the painful conclusion that holding the concerts is no longer possible.
To all the Trainers who were eagerly looking forward to the show, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this causes, and for announcing this so close to the event date.
Due to this cancellation, we will process refunds for the following:
・On-site viewing tickets
・Streaming tickets
In addition, we are looking into possible responses to Trainers who were planning to attend the concert in person. This will take some time, so we ask for your patience. Details will be announced on the 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR official website.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes to all the Trainers who were eagerly looking forward to the concerts, as well as to the Umamusume cast, partner company staff, and everyone involved who put tremendous effort into making this event happen.

The first time I had to attend the BFI IMAX, I was so confused that I *somehow* crossed the road, only to not find an entrance. When I met up with colleagues, we then led an expedition to find our way in…
