Patrick Mahomes saying “It’s about getting him right physically and mentally” is THEE Josh Simmons quote.
Patrick Mahomes on his confidence level that Josh Simmons will suit up for the Chiefs again 🗣️
“I’m extremely confident because I’ve seen the work he puts in—he’s doing his rehab, he’s doing his work, he’s doing everything he can to be back on that field—he’ll have a couple weeks here now while he’s on IR where he can get himself back to the physical shape that he can be in—he’ll be mentally confident to go out there and be the best version of himself, when he’s able to do that, he’ll be back on the football field—it’s about getting him right physically and mentally.”

Didn’t know this was happening with JK Dobbins. #ChiefsKingdom
It is what it is but it’s probably the best thing you can hear from Mahomes if you’re someone who wants to see Simmons play for the Chiefs again.
I am one of those people. I don’t think we see him again this year, but it gives me a sliver of hope.

I choose not to believe him. #ChiefsKingdom
Garrett Wilson asked if he will, or has, asked for a trade:
He says “no,” and adds that he wants to be here. #Jets
This is what I was talking about.
Andy Reid shares what he'd look for in a potential addition at WR:
“You'd hope they'd be familiar with the offense. If they're not, they gotta be smart and be able to pick it up quickly — I've had players that have done that and done it well, but I would tell you there better be some form of an aptitude there.”
Tucker aside, also didn’t love Andy’s response as to acquiring a new WR and how difficult it is to get a guy up to speed mid-season. Just make it work, Andy. Make it less difficult. #ChiefsKingdom
Andy being asked about ten questions on a practice squad kicker is exactly the punishment he deserves. #ChiefsKingdom
Yay. I’ll take some good news and the DL could use from fresh blood. #ChiefsKingdom
Looking forward to Andy pretending to not understand (and get angry) as to why he’s being asked about Simmons and/or Tucker today on the press conference. #ChiefsKingdom

The Kansas City Chiefs had ample time to address Harrison Butker's inconsistencies. Now, Justin Tucker is on the practice squad, and they're rightfully taking heat for the decision. The process that led them here is the problem. And kicker isn't the only position we're seeing that with this season. 📝

Again, Bernhard Raimann and Josh Downs in a package deal.
Finally solve the LT problem you haven't been able to solve for years, move Benson to RT, finally have a man coverage winner on the roster (though you'll still need WR help down the road and some tweaking this year).
I expect Kansas City to be active in trying to add a player or two to boost the offense, be that another pass catcher, an offensive lineman or both. — @DanGrazianoESPN
Oh yeah. He’s playing. #ChiefsKingdom

Yes he has quite the resume Ian, thank you. Shall we look at what the Google machine pulls up for the last couple years? Hmmm, 16 allegations of sexual misconduct, a 10 game suspension from the NFL, and a terrible 73% on FGs in 2024. I feel like this is a Norm Macdonald bit “wow that’s the first I’m hearing of this!”
The #Chiefs worked out three kickers and kept both Justin Tucker and Harrison Mevis around all day, giving them both physicals after similarly impressive workouts. In the end, with the experience and resume, Tucker gets the PS spot.
Maybe Veach and Andy outsmarted us all because now we are back to saying “Butker will figure it out, give him time.” #ChiefsKingdom
