As mad as I am about MS politicians sabotaging our voter-approved MMJ program, I’m more upset that they rejected Medicaid expansion. We’re the poorest state. Yet (in a pandemic) they again rejected $1billion/yr in fed$ to provide health insurance for 300k working MSians. #msleg

So before Initiative 65 passed, every R politician that I spoke to said they opposed 65 because once it was “enshrined in the Constitution it couldn’t be changed.” And I always said well #msleg can vote to amend the state Const with 2/3 Sen votes & they knew that too.

The only other time MS legislature placed an alternative measure alongside a ballot initiative was Intv 42. It failed the first question/hurdle with 54% voting AGAINST. You’ll notice—those telling you to vote 65A are also encouraging voters to vote AGAINST BOTH on 1st question!

Opponents of Initiative 65 rely on fearmongering & misinformation. If 65 or 65A pass, MS will be the 34th state to legalize medical marijuana. The bottom-line is this: cannabis has medicinal value & qualifying patients in MS deserve access to medical marijuana. Vote YES to 65 🗳

Opponents of MMJ are advising voters to NO & then vote for 65A. BUT the first question says “vote for approval of either or against both”. So, if you intend to vote for 65A you must first vote yes. IF YOU FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS YOUR VOTE IS INVALID.
