The Phoenix Jr. Coyotes are proud to announce that the program has been accepted to participate in the USA Hockey Development League for its inaugural 2027–28 season. The USA Hockey Development League is a national initiative focused on optimizing player development through a network of youth hockey programs. Featuring full-season teams at the 15U and 17U age classifications, the league is designed to provide high-performance training and competition that prepare athletes for advancement to junior and college hockey. It will operate within USA Hockey’s broader youth development framework, complementing existing Tier I opportunities. “The Phoenix Jr. Coyotes are proud to be selected as one of the 32 youth hockey organizations to participate in the USA Hockey Developmental League. The selection is an honor and validation of the work of our Jr. Coyotes leadership team, coaches, and players, as well as the strength of our partnerships with the Ice Den, Ice Den Performance, and TPH. We look forward to building a successful first-class DL program, and to continuing to invest in growing hockey and ice sports in Arizona.” - Taylor Burke, Coyotes Amateur Hockey Association, Board President.
