Kinematics, Ground Reaction Forces (predicted), bat tracking, and ball flight. Lab grade accuracy within seconds at 1/5th the cost of other competitors of the same accuracy. @kinebase is changing the game.

My 2 year old daughter is across the table cheering on the Cuddle (she can’t say Chicago) Bears and non stop saying good better best. Big parenting win.

Exit velocity. Launch angle. Distance. Those numbers are great, but they only tell half the story. You can see that an athlete hit a ball 105 mph. But what actually produced that result? How did their body sequence? How efficiently did they transfer energy? What did their bat path look like through the zone? The outcome means more when you understand the movement behind it. @kinebase combines ball flight data, full-body kinematics, ground reaction forces, and advanced bat tracking into one comprehensive system.

I just saw a tournament post a kid who is a senior in high school with velos saying 50-54mph… this is why we can’t keep letting tournaments/showcases take money to post videos of kids.

Logan has been training with us @PDPAthletics for the last few months and he continues to move the needle. Improved velo and feel for all pitches.

1/ Is spinal tilt killing your extension? 🧵 Pitching coaches have preached the “spinal engine” for years—and for good reason. Movement of the trunk can play a major role in creating rotational velocity. But there’s a problem: more spinal tilt isn’t always better.

7/ That’s why we measure the entire delivery. Pelvis. Trunk. Sequencing. Joint positions. Ball flight. Ground reaction forces. Not isolated screenshots or one metric at a time. Understand the chain. Understand the outcome. That’s what we’re building @kinebase .

If you want to set up a KineBase assessment, we are offering player/team assessments at @PDPAthletics . We are also currently doing demos for teams/facilities interested in their own KineBase system. DM to learn more.

Must be the juiced guns from today’s game.
Yes Chris Sale is throwing 100 mph, which is amazing. But the improvement in his average FB velo is equally impressive. Sale sat at 97.0 mph as a reliever in 2010. This year he's sitting 96.0. That's the second highest avg FB velo of his 16-year MLB career.

Velocity is a receipt, not a reason. It tells you what happened. It doesn’t tell you why it happened. Two pitchers can have the same velocity despite creating that velocity in very distinct ways. One gets there with an extremely deep flip up of the arm path while the other gets there by creating more force in a linear direction. If all you're tracking is the outcome, you can't tell them apart until it's too late. Ball flight data (velocity, movement, spin) should not be our driving factor when trying to create sustainable changes. That’s why @kinebase doesn’t view kinematics, ground reaction forces, and ball flight as three separate systems that need an API. KineBase tracks all of them within seconds with no additional technology needed.

I spent time pitching in the Chicago White Sox organization, and looking back, the thing that sticks with me isn't a single pitch or outing, it's how much of my own development I never actually saw. Coaches would tell me things. I'd feel things. Once a year I would have to strip down to my underwear and glue markers to my body to do a motion-capture session. Then I’d wait a week for a data analyst to build a PDF that didn’t show me anything I could remember feeling. I never once saw my ground force, my sequencing, and the resulting pitch data in the same place, in real time that allowed me to understand how the data correlated to what I felt. That gap is what @kinebase exists to close. KineBase is not just for pro players who have every resource, but for every athlete who walks through a facility door, from a pro guy in his offseason to a high schooler working with a coach three times a week, who deserves the same clarity a big-league org has without needing a biomechanics lab to get it. Running @PDPAthletics means we get to test that in real time, across every level that trains with us. If it doesn't actually help our professional, college, high school, or youth athletes, it doesn't make it to the application.

The ground doesn’t lie. The pitch or swing starts as force pushed into the dirt. Force goes into the ground which is redirected to the legs, hips, trunk, and eventually the hand/ball. Biomechanics without ground force data is incomplete. However, athletes shouldn’t have to treat it as a separate “force plate day.” KineBase predicts ground reaction forces on any mound, anywhere, on every throw you make.
