Learning how to balance periods of rapid information intake with those of low input. Fun to figure out when / where I feel the most desire to create some sort of output

Just gave 100 pages of writing/poems to a friend to edit and read. Mixture of release (no longer mine to fully hold), but also nerves. Feels easier to have strangers read it than my childhood best friend.

At what point does the resistance of one's current situation outweigh the pain it causes/ the pain or staying the same??

4-mile runs are 10x harder after sitting in the car for 14 hours the day before

Really wish I I was less influenced by the Western POV of work -- a HEAVY focus on productivity (ticking things off to-do lists), titles (other people's opinions) and making things stretch out to fill unnecessary time.

Directly contradicts my actual personal POV that work can be a source of joy. I just don't know what that "joy" looks like to me at work (maybe bc I'm using other people's definitions to try and define it).

biggest con of working on multiple projects (or jobs) at once? context switching. If I get frustrated or bored on one thing, I'll switch to the other thing -- okay, but prevents me from pushing through and just finishing to be done.

To me though, the pro of more money in my bank account + getting to work on different, interesting projects is worth it short term. Not 100% on long-term because it can be exhausting.

Started this doc ~2 months ago with the intention of writing 50 poems in 6 weeks...almost at 100 and not quite done yet with all the stories I want to tell.

I've sent bday videos to people instead of texts for the last ~5 months and the response I get is always 10x better. Lesson: send more video messages

It's amazing when people know you're moving soonish (within 6 mo/yr) how many people feel the need to insert their opinion on where you should go. Suggestions appreciated. Opinions on my choices, not so much.

Created this vision board in March/April of 2021. Wild to think how much has come true directly and indirectly based on what I put on this board. Building a new one and I'm trying to be more intentional now that I believe these things work.

it baffles me that orgs can effectively grow and operate, but have poor communication both internally and externally -- like how??

Nothing like stress-packing, showering, and cleaning your place 30 mins before you leave for a trip

bittersweet to see someone close to me is choosing long-term happiness and all of the implications attached to it based on the life they've built.

Any examples of memoirs that mix in poetry to tell stories?
