Saw some interesting behaviour today which I thought might interest my parasite loving friend Dud @ivysuckle or perhaps @ruth_newby We have a camera now in our first occupied swift box. I noticed today that they are louseflies, Crataerina pallida were leaving the swifts 1/2

and running around on the inside of the box. I wondered if it might be the heat driving them away from the birds. It was suggested they might be leaving to lay their eggs, but it seems a bit early in the season as the birds are only just back. Wondered if you had any thoughts?

Found a couple of these critters in my kitchen. So tiny and fragile. They look like mini May flies. Is it possible to ID them? Got one broken antenna sadly @ruth_newby @ivysuckle

Stumbled on this on iPlayer bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0… I thought it was the most beautiful wildlife programme I’ve seen in a long time. Gorgeous photography, wonderful insights into bee life and humorous as well. Just enchanting ❤️

Hi Dud and Ruth, do you remember the false widow that I had living behind my bookcase for about 9 months a year ago? I had to move the bookcase recently and as suspected found her little body. But also this egg sac + little white bits. Could they be hatched eggs? 🙂🕷️

Hi Dud @ivysuckle I thought I would flag this up to you now that you’re back as I thought you might want to see the end of the saga 😅

Good to see Long Covid and ME getting some press. 1.3 million of us in the UK alone and yet it’s been almost completely ignored by the research community until the last couple of years. 😥 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy8p…

And the good news just keeps coming! 👏🏻 finally an end to ‘accidentally’ chasing foxes across the countryside and ripping them limb from limb! ❤️ bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g9…

Woo hoo! 👏🏻 English Parliament hang your heads in shame!
AMAZING NEWS!!! (This is NOT the final result BUT)…the SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT JUST PASSED SWIFT BRICKS THROUGH TO THE NEXT PHASE. The SNP government did not but THE OTHER PARTIES STOOD UNITED AND SHOWED ENGLAND HOW ITS DONE. SCOTLAND YOU BEAUTY! Thank you ⁦@markruskell⁩ !

Great news! Well done Spain 👏🏻
Thank you Spain🇪🇸for just doing the right thing. No more heavy trawls scraping the seabed. No more constant pressure on the surrounding fragile fish and coral. This helps the dolphins there survive too. This expansion means 22.45% of Spain's waters are now protected, a huge step toward the EU's goal to reach 30% by 2030🌊👏🏼👏🏼🌊

The actions of our government are beyond belief 😓
Watch: The UK govt has abandoned the nature crisis, here and internationally. Its focus is entirely one-dimensional: carbon. On the real environment we are going backwards fast. There are some good people in Labour, some real nature champions. They need to flex their muscles

Can they seriously not see that the eco system will collapse if we don’t start looking after it? If they don’t care, do they not care for their kids and grand kids? 😩
