3 months ago i was part of "The Liverpool artists" creation. 4 award winning artists painting in Liverpool weekly. Last weeki helped sort a "great wild paint paint" for other artists. It was at @LivCathedral really good turn out Here is my Cathedral. Please repost

They say never look directly at the Sun.... I (and many others) did today. Helios, this wonderful installation by Luke Jerram, is in Derby Cathedral until 31 October. Fascinating to see the detail of the Sun's surface in this manner.

The other wonderful sights that benefit greatly from the (actual) Sun are these 2 stained glass windows. They are at the east end so get the morning light, and look subtly different depending on the time of day and weather.

A little yay for this morning. Went out for my first run in a week to see how the calf was behaving. I was hoping for a gentle 5k, but after about a mile it started feeling uncomfortable, so I cut it short to 1.5 miles. It felt good to be out again though.

Evening all (remember Dixon of Dock Green?) My week of running(ish) Went out Tuesday for a 5k - cut it short, calf pulling. Tried again Thursday, only managed about 100m. Attacked it with foam roller and wife's heat thing and gave parkrun a go this morning - 1k that was it. 鈽癸笍鈽癸笍

So, what next; rest I suppose, then build up slowly. Anyway there's more.. (Not running though) I went for flu jab at lunchtime, and because of my age 馃槀馃槺 was offered pneumonia and shingles ones too! Bonus! 3 for 1! My arms are a bit sore, but I'm still able to hold a beer. 馃嵒馃嵒

Out for 5km at 5am, slow but got round - hopefully my back is behaving itself now. Me and this little one stopped and exchanged glances - a lovely encounter.
