Hopefully FanDuel will be quickly forced to change that. Especially during a rebuild. We need the Cat, the funniest (best?) dugout/OF/locker-room reporter in regional cable journalism now more than ever. There are dwindling reasons to purchase the TV package from afar …
More Jim Hayes AND more Alexa Datt on #Cardinals broadcasts would clearly be preferred.
That is not the direction FanDuel is going, reports @caesardan for @stltoday. stltoday.com/sports/professi…
Duffer bros. with a super esoteric callback to The Day After (I’m sure of it) in season 5 of Stranger Things: “A fresh telemetry tag—scarcer than hen’s teeth, these things.” (After Lawrence is nuked in TDA it was a student bunkered in the KU science lab who said it about a radio)

My wife and I are convinced Charlie Hunnam based his “Ed Gein” voice on Wendell the porcupine.

Just re-read “The Road” and found this great paper that uses McCarthy Easter eggs (previous books, “See Rock City”, the town descriptions, etc) to try and nail down the actual route. Reading the book in 06, I remember thinking: this HAS to be the SC coast. trace.tennessee.edu/cgi/view…
The apparent “allure” of LSU doesn’t make one sympathetic to Lane Kiffin, but it does remind me of the memoir “It Never Rains in Tiger Stadium” by John Ed Bradley, who, without any maudlin sentimentality, made me feel why it was special. One of the best books about sports.
Final Fantasy I (NES), Final Fantasy II (SNES), and Final Fantasy III (SNES, and which I will always call Final Fantasy III, never VI).
Growing up in the next town over I could never figure out why Jackson (Mo.) was always so good at football. Anyway, look at that press box!
“Big Games” at noon are exquisitely dumb. Nobody is ready for them yet. The day itself isn’t ready for them yet. 3:30 for “Big Games” at the earliest and the darker the evening, the better.

Cards should have the top three of these from game 6 of the 2011 World Series alone.
Though I wanted Seattle, last night’s homer was truly something to behold, from every angle. Exactly like Rolen’s shot to take the lead late in game 7 of the 2004 NLCS. Huge stadium, and just an insane crowd pop, and the Cards hadn’t been to the Series in a long time.
It’s still hard to understand how this happened!
#OTD 1985 - Vince Coleman becomes entangled in Busch Stadium's automatic tarpaulin while stretching before Game 4 of the NLCS.
The freak accident, which traps his left leg for about thirty seconds, will end the season for the 23-year-old rookie - and change the trajectory of the teams playoff run.

I never knew about this until today, from @CardsLitJournal
British people calling granola bars “flapjacks”…. Like seeing a picture of the color blue and hearing someone say “red” to describe it.
My wife, Amanda, a lifelong Gamecocks fan, debates with her family and friends being too old to potentially storm the field should they ever win the SEC title. It’s really good. gardenandgun.com/articles/ho… @GamecockFB
