"It's always going to be love."
Lu Dort still wears Oklahoma City on his sleeve, just not his jersey, after being traded to Atlanta.

Here are OKC's starters for its home game against Phoenix:

Sam Presti on the injuries to Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace:
“Obviously, tough night last night. There’s no way to paint that differently. We say within our walls all of the time that there’s a difference between being positive and being optimistic. I’m not going to sit up here and say this is exactly where we want to be or this is how we’d like to have it. But at the same time, we’re extremely optimistic about the recovery for both of the players. Most importantly, things could’ve been a lot worse.”
Sam Presti says OKC will do everything it can to help Otega Oweh, who was waived Saturday after rupturing his right Achilles tendon during a preseason game.
Sam Presti says Jalen Williams has a fractured fibula and a dislocated ankle on the left side. It's a surgical situation, and a timeline will be provided once that procedure is completed.
Presti also said Williams is in great spirits and extremely optimistic about the situation.

Devin Vassell said it was tough watching Jalen Williams go down last night:
"You don't wish that on nobody. Prayers up to Jalen Williams and his family. ... He's a hell of a competitor, great person."

It’ll take a group effort for OKC to replace Jalen Williams’ production.
Here are five guys in particular who’ll need to step up:

“I just feel bad for him.”
Paycom Center didn’t play its usual victory anthem after OKC’s win over the LA Clippers. It didn’t feel right, considering the tremendous loss the Thunder had just experienced.
On the emotions of Jalen Williams’ latest injury:

I sat down with Jalen Williams this summer to talk about the mental side of overcoming setbacks.
The maturity he has shown in the face of adversity is impressive, and he’ll surely do so again with this new injury.

Asked Alex Caruso how Jalen Williams has overcome setbacks in the past:
“Dub is a resilient human being. He has great parents. He comes from a great family of hard work, love and putting your best foot forward at all times. The couple of years I’ve been here, getting to know his mom and dad, they raised their children right. Those characteristics and qualities are instilled in him as a person. And, at a certain point, you can’t be a victim anymore. You have to take the adversity head-on, and you’ve got to fight back. He’s continued to do that, and I know he’ll continue to do it moving forward.”
Jalen Williams has overcome setbacks in the past. I asked Shai Gilgeous-Alexander what it is about his spirit that allows him to do so:
“He just loves playing. He loves the competition. That’s who he is. I have no doubt in my mind that he’ll be back and be better than he was before, just like how he handled the last couple of injuries. It’s unfortunate, his luck so far, but he’s equipped for it. He’s a warrior.”
