“Ukrainian Prism” continues to strengthen the Ukrainian expert voice in the EU capital and shape international initiatives in support of Ukraine.
On March 26, “Ukrainian Prism” in partnership with the @epc_eu @SCEEUS_UI and @UA_EUMission held a busy day of expert events in Brussels, with various audiences - experts and diplomats, journalists and members of the @Europarl_EN
‼️ The main message: Europe must act quickly, clearly and decisively, because it is not only about the fate of Ukraine, but also about the fate of the entire continent.
🛡️ At a closed-door expert event with the participation of representatives of European institutions, permanent representations of member states to the EU, as well as think tanks, an attempt was made to dive deeply into the topic of the possible role of European partners and the EU in strengthening Ukraine's negotiating position.
📢 During the public policy dialogue, invited experts spoke about the urgency of EU decisions, forms of support for Ukraine, and the role of civil society.
🏛️ In the @Europarl_EN the discussion revolved around issues of public support in EU countries for political decisions that would help strengthen the common European voice in support of Ukraine and in confronting the Russian aggressor.
Almost no one had any doubts that Europe should act autonomously, given the alarming signals from across the ocean. Although it is still too early to talk about specific practical solutions that the EU and major European capitals can offer, the discussion clearly demonstrated the need for constant involvement of the European side in brainstorming and expert discussions on ways to bring peace back to the continent.

Hybrid Policy Dialogue on the role of Europe at the possible negotiations on ending Russia’s war of attrition against Ukraine.

With the US using both carrots and sticks to encourage Ukraine and Russia to engage in peace talks. During a recent meeting in Saudi Arabia, the Ukrainian side agreed to a 30-day ceasefire despite the lack of clear security guarantees. Ukraine has signaled interest in a peaceful settlement while unequivocally calling for Europe to be present at the negotiating table when it comes to European security. European partners helped to prepare Ukraine's proposals for the meeting with the US delegation in Riyadh.

Idag har regeringen fattat beslut för att skicka upp till åtta svenska Gripen-plan för att tillsammans med våra allierade i Nato säkra att vapen och hjälp som skickas till Ukraina når fram.
Dessutom har vi beslutat att ingå i Natos roterande luftövervakning över Polen, som kallas Air Policing.
Två beslut som stärker Ukraina och samtidigt gör hela Europa och Sverige säkrare. Det är så vi nu bäst försvarar allt det vi älskar med vårt land.
Jag och regeringen sätter alltid Sveriges och svenska folkets säkerhet främst. Ingen uppgift är viktigare än just den.
