Working in a 12K high-fidelity digital drawing changed how I think about the image. From a distance, it reads as landscape. Up close, it breaks into line systems, textures, revisions, and accumulated decisions.

A major moment for digital art at LACMA. We're announcing a landmark gift of more than 200 works of digital art, spanning early computer-generated works to contemporary experiments with AI. Led by LACMA Digital Leaders, the gift includes works by @RefikAnadol, @REAS, @luyangasia, and many more, bringing new perspectives on the intersection of art and technology into our collection. bit.ly/3VOeUPH

At this scale, texture is not decoration. Small marks, overlaps, and irregularities begin to carry structure. I’m building the surface slowly so the image can hold detail without losing the larger form. Still very much in progress.

Working through the drawing stage today. Still figuring out which parts of the structure need to stay and which can be pushed further. ✏️✏️✏️

At Comic Con, I watched people laugh and cry over a printed photo with a celebrity. What makes an image worth keeping? In Post-Globalist Essays, I explore art, technology, authorship, and the value of human work. Read and subscribe: pgstudio.substack.com/

More regional Bitcoin conferences are emerging. But does greater activity necessarily mean cultural growth? After participating in MBS 2026, I began questioning the difference between visibility, participation, and meaningful cultural exchange. My new essay, What Is Actually Growing?, explores these questions and how technology is making the distinctions harder to recognize. pgstudio.substack.com/p/what…

Commission a new work that translates data, systems, and natural order into symbolic landscape. Each piece is uniquely conceived and handcrafted on oil on canvas. kennethburrisstudio.com/artw…

Four days of #ComicCon2026 . I fought the lines. I survived the crowds. I took repeated damage from concrete floors, fluorescent lighting, bad food decisions, and conversations that somehow lasted 45 minutes. Lost one eye somewhere around Day 3. Still standing. Champion by technicality. 🥊🏆

Rejection is part of authorship. In Data Becoming Form, the block data establishes a constraint, but it does not decide what the work becomes. Early versions can be technically valid and still be wrong for the work. Block 840000 first produced a pointed, geological terrain. I rejected that direction. The structure stayed. The visual language changed. That refusal matters. AI, data, 3D, or any other system can generate possibilities. The artist still has to decide what survives, what changes, and what gets left behind. Rejection is one of the clearest places where artistic judgment becomes visible. 👀 Rejected image.
