KCA Sixth Form

Returning to school dates: Year 7: 7th of September Year 8-11 & 13: 8th of September Year 12: 14th of September We are really looking forward to seeing our lovely students and their smiling faces.

Well done to all our Yr11s today. Every grade is the outcome of a determined student who worked hard and developed their knowledge and skills. Students be proud, Staff be proud, Parents be proud!

Good luck to all students on their results this week, at KCA we will be accepting applications based on Centre Assessed Grades where they are higher than the the results on Thursday. We wanted to assure you we are committed to your future, support and guidance will be available.

Thank you to all the excellent staff at KCA who have worked tirelessly to support the students achieving the success this year. Also a big thank you to Mrs Davis who has led the 6th form at KCA supporting students and staff, she will be missed.

We are incredibly proud of the achievements of Yr 13 and we have a record number going to university, studying a wider variety of subjects.

As well as celebrating 50 years of education in Kempston, we are happy to congratulate our determined Yr 13 students as they move onto the next stage of their lives.

It is very important to use that we support our Year 11 students with the transition to post 16 in these difficult times. We have set up a google classroom with a range of specific activities to help ensure all our children are ready for the next stage of their academic lives.

PM’s announcement: it is essential that only the children of critical key workers are sent to school due to no other alternative arrangement being available. If your child is 12+ & you feel it is safe for them to be at home while you are at work please keep them safe at home.

So proud of how our students and staff have faced this challenge. Teachers have been busy planning resources for remote learning and our support staff inc the admin team have been amazing.

Unfortunately we had to make the difficult decision that KCA is closed to all Year 8 & 9 students tomorrow (Fri 20th) & is closed from lunch time for ALL year groups (excluding key worker's children). Lunch will still be available in the canteen.

Today is a very sad day at KCA as we say goodbye to Mrs White our much loved colleague. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
