Well this was the most insane Halloween ever. I live on a very popular street for Halloween to begin with and we normally get a few hundred kids per year. I’m not kidding 500-700 is a good year.
This year, facebook apparently said my street was the #1 street in the area 🤦♀️. You literally couldn’t walk down the sidewalks. We probably had 1500-2000 and it wasn’t just kids this year. Adults were in costumes getting candy.
I go to a friend’s house down the street. I hand out glow necklaces and they hand out candy. I had 400 necklaces, they were gone in an hour this year. It was completely insane. My friend had two 30 gallon tubs of candy, one piece per person. All gone by the end of the night.
Normally my dog falls asleep in her wagon. This year she couldn’t. It was too chaotic. The line was down the sidewalk, kids were screaming, cutting in line, running up in the lawn. The amazing thing, everyone asked permission to pet her. I was very impressed with that.
I’m exhausted, it was overwhelming. I hope we’re back to the normal crowd next year.

I have no idea what this one is. The texture caught my eye.
Just started Dark Matter on Apple. Husband was checking out because the timelines were confusing, so I had to remind him of All You Zombies by Heinlein. No spoilers.
If you haven’t read it, you should. It’s uncomfortably relevant right now… except there’s no abortion in the story. Otherwise I’m pretty sure you’d find it in the Democratic Party’s cliff notes as “ideal policy outcome.”
I’m so frustrated with this compounding pharmacy that makes my LDN. I have to babysit them for every single refill. My doctor sent a refill request over the weekend. They’ve done absolutely nothing so far. When I called them today to check on it, he asked “would you like me start the refill now?” I said “yes my doctor sent it over the weekend, why hasn’t it been filled yet?” “Ummm…. I don’t know but we can start it today.” This is the same routine with every refill. I have to call them and tell them to refill the refill or they won’t work on it. Wtf?
