Agreed. It’s literally no choice at all. I want another National Championship badly and I also very much want Rick Jackson and his billionaire cronies nowhere near the Governor’s mansion lol

Precisely. Forde/whoever is actually making the call changes things based on who they want to win.

Yep, that’s what they said then. And now that intent doesn’t even matter. Funny how the only thing they can be consistent on is being inconsistent.

1) there’s no track in Dayton 2) that happened at Atlanta 3) intent mattered then but apparently doesn’t now. That’s the whole point. They’ve literally changed the criteria in the 4 months since.

July vs now. It was only a good call based on the way they officiated the rule way back then! You know, all the way back 4 months ago.

Replying to @mforde
So you’re reinstating Bubba’s P2 at Atlanta then, right Mike?

Arguable, all 3 are elite. The question then lies, is Baugh better than 2 elite backs when healthy? Almost certainly no. However, with both of them banged up, yeah he is.

When we’re healthy, you do not have the edge at RB. Now if Chauncey and Nate are still beat up, you definitely do

Yes, because of this country lol. Election Day still isn’t a federal holiday lol

The counterpoint I was trying to make to that is we’re not sacrificing a home game every other year, because no one alive has had seen that game be an annual outside of 95. So it’s a false dichotomy, from my perspective. Similar to how from your perspective my position as a false dichotomy. We’re coming from two different baselines. Your baseline is that rivalry games should be H&H and we’re currently giving that up. Mine is that GA/FL is NOT a H&H and we’d be giving up a unique environment to convert it into a H&H. That’s really the crux of difference. It’s hard to come to an agreement when the starting points of the argument are on different principles.

Again, turning your own argument back on you. It’s a common debate tactic, I’ve used it twice in this debate. I gave a core memory from college about how cool it was to do the whole weekend and how much we loved it. I haven’t used that line of reasoning once since. I do want it there for that reason too. But the tradition of all of it and how special that weekend has become over 100 years is my main argument. St Simon’s is a part of that, but it’s not all of it. Or even most, tbh.

I don’t think he sees it either. He’s called me pompous twice now in this debate but I’m literally just making the argument. I’ve never once been pompous or rude about it.

“Being dismissive of anyone’s opinion because it’s not the same as yours is the problem” “You just wanna keep the game there so you get a beach weekend.” You’re proving your own point.
6
Lol I haven’t been to frat beach since college, I never will again. You can quit trying to straw man the argument on that point because it’s not my argument. I stay in Jacksonville now that weekend. You just don’t like that students get to go to the beach I guess?

This one, since you just deleted the one asking me about it for some reason.
13
Also, I’m not being pompous or arrogant? By “proved” I meant I used your own argument in reverse and you yourself said “that’s not a good argument.” So I’m only saying “proved” because we reached the mutual conclusion that that’s not a good argument.

Oh well that’s just an objectively wrong opinion then, there’s no argument to be had here. I’m with you on that to some extent regarding kickoff games, but OU/UT, Army/Navy, and UGA/UF should 100% always be neutral site.

Army Navy rotates between DC, Philly, Baltimore, and NY I believe

You haven’t made an argument to move in onto campus though, other than “I like games in Athens” which isn’t an argument. I proved that in the other thread

Neither is cutting it for cutting’s it’s sake. That’s my point. You’re making a circular argument, I just made the same argument back to show you that it’s not a good argument.
