gosh MX23.2-Fluxbox is #fluxbox as it should be. mxtweaks is awesome, tint2+conky by default is poetry. At 1st sight loosing snap (which requires systemd) seemed to be a big deal but... no. apt does the job as always, for stuff like jetbrains' sw, flatpak. 🤟

I have been an avid Slackware user in my teenage, then debianist, finally Ubuntuer. In my 40s I value compatibility, easyness. I'm now thinking to move to #MXLinux cause they ship a well tailored and configured debian-based #Fluxbox powered distro, ready for use. Any advice?

I love FastAPI, I really love it. But the 1st is an aiohttp-based microservice (a http router over an OLTP+OLAP, tons of code lines), and the 2nd is a BFF (FastAPI + 5 or 6 clients to place calls, some BaseModels, transformers, a CORS Middleware). Both are idling. 85 vs 534?

The Avg. Joe version of me (no training, often eat food from delivery platforms, a moderate \ high amount of alcol) VS Better Self (strength and cardio, healthy food, nearly no alcol). I'd call this quite an evidence.

I don't support OpenAI's mission personally. But I support the idea that a board should maintain the company mission.

For years I told djangoers to move to Flask and leave the bloat apart. Now I tell anyone to move to the marvellous FastAPI. Mainly because of the huge pydantic integration, it is how these web frameworks should have always been designed. Love it.

As I have learned recently, now Flask has async/await support, but the now 7 years old Armin's arguments against the way the implementation was initially handled (I admit, the decorators approach was ugly) drove me elsewhere. I think Flask missed the go to market.

Anyway, it's not just because of asyncio. FastAPI provides a validation system out of the box with "strong" typing (at runtime, ok) and beautiful syntax and hooks to create both simple things or more advanced middlewares. That guys really did, and are doing, a masterpiece.
