You can’t really calculate the 7 years into a fair price because most of that time there was no real market.
Mining started in 2019, but Pi only opened for actual trading in Feb 2025. Before that it was basically locked inside the app. So for about 6 of those 7 years there was no proper price discovery at all.
On top of that, the supply is huge. It's just a one task. Max supply is 100 billion and only around 11–12 billion is circulating right now. Millions more unlock every single day. The price dropped from ~$3 to ~$0.07 mainly because more coins kept hitting the market while real demand and usage stayed weak. The time when we get past this sell pressure is when the biggest surprises are hidden.
The mining was also just tapping a button in an app. It didn’t cost real money or electricity like Bitcoin, so the long time people spent mining doesn’t automatically create high value. Right now the price is basically set by how many coins are unlocked versus how many people actually want to buy them, not by how many years the project has existed.

$PI may have dropped from $3 to its current ATL of $0.07, but I'm still buying. I believe the network is far more valuable than the token price lets on, and it's nothing time can't correct.
Yes, 7 years is a long time. But that's no reason to jump off a moving train.
That said, @PiCoreTeam's community management remains poor. It’s incredibly tough for builders in the network right now—way harder than it was 2 years ago.
I fear many long-time ecosystem builders might miss out on the Pi opportunity they originally set their eyes on.

Personally, I have told people that the real potentials of Pi Network will be in 2030. For now, I am accumulating.
I have always believed that one of the biggest mistakes people make in this space is expecting every project to deliver its full potential within a short period. We live in a market where many people want instant results. They want to see a token pump today, hit a new all-time high tomorrow, and make life-changing money overnight.
But that is not how I look at Pi Network.
PI is a project I believe deserves a long-term perspective. I am not saying the journey will be smooth or that there will be no challenges along the way. Like every other project in this space, Pi has its own uncertainties, and there are still questions that need clear answers.
However, I believe that building something meaningful takes time, and I am more interested in what Pi could become over the next few years than in every little movement on the chart today.
PI is currently trading around $0.078, down approximately 2% today. At the same time, the broader crypto market is also experiencing a decline, with the total market capitalization sitting around $2.7 trillion. So, I am not looking at this dip in isolation or treating it as a reason to panic.
Markets move in cycles. There are periods of excitement when everything seems to be pumping, and there are periods of silence when prices move sideways or gradually decline. These quieter moments often test the patience and conviction of people who entered the market with a long-term vision.
For me, this is a time to keep watching, keep learning, and continue accumulating according to my personal strategy. I am not in a hurry to force a timeline on Pi Network, and I do not expect the market to reward my patience every single day.
Of course, having a long-term target does not guarantee that the project will achieve it. That is why I believe in staying informed, paying attention to developments, and making decisions with a clear understanding of the risks involved.
I would rather approach this journey with patience and a long-term mindset than allow every red candle to dictate my emotions.
I know some people may disagree with my timeline, and that is perfectly fine. We all have different expectations, strategies, and reasons for being part of this ecosystem.
