My 29th completed game of '26, #ResidentEvil0 on #NintendoSwitch is a mediocre port of one of the weaker entries in a series full of masterpieces. It's fun--& worth your time--but also makes you ask, "why is a game with exploration in its DNA such a chore to traverse?" 7.5/10
I don't know if it's memory leak or what, but while @CDPROJEKTRED's remastered Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch 2 is a supreme upgrade in every way compared to The Complete Edition I played through 7 years ago, I've been encountering this weird glitch I don't recall seeing before.
Going to the mall in Japan always feels reminiscent of my childhood and teenage years in the U.S., before most of the ones around my hometown slowly faded and ultimately shuttered down.
But then something like this randomly appears and I suddenly feel like I'm in Japan again.
Oh geez. That's really unfortunate.
I have only ordered through them a few times but that includes the Resident Evil Generation Pack that arrived just this week. π―

I know the algorithm on this platform is shit but contrary to 80% of posts I see about Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, I think it looks absolutely badass and I'll be a day one buyer the moment a physical edition drops for the Nintendo Switch 2!
It's impossible for me to imagine a scenario where this comes out and doesn't peak at Xbox's current Japanese hardware sales (where it sells roughly 700 a week).
We might enter a time when Sony & Microsoft learn a lesson that Nintendo figured out two decades ago:

It involved some double dipping, which I don't love to do (owned RE4 & 6 digitally, & the Japanese i.e. censored boxed version of RE9), but with the boxed editions of the RE2, 3, & 4 remakes coming in January, I decided to go on a little impulsive shopping spree...

My 28th completed game of '26, #MetalGearSolid4 is a beautiful & technically impressive swansong to the story of Solid Snake. Gameplay continually innovates, & this'd easily be my fav of the 1st four if nearly half of the game (no exaggeration) wasn't cinematic cutscenes. 8.5/10
I don't want to be the one to say it but what happened to Farmer Man's skin?
They've totally whitewashed it. And his teeth! You're going to add chest hair and some stranded hairs dancing over his scalp and leave me to believe this man has perfectly white teeth?
So disappointed
This alone makes me want to support it.
Still holding out for a physical Nintendo Switch 2 edition though....
I cannot believe Castlevania out of all Metroidvanias added a fucking βrespawn in front of boss doorβ option on release.
