No. She actually had four options.
One of them being that Karen could have negotiated and asked them to admit fault.
Karen did not have to voluntarily dismiss her lawsuit simply because MSP offered the maximum amount it believed it could owe.
All of you vile leeches who have young children will one day have to answer for your behavior. How will you explain your actions to them? With the truth? That you valued money & personal gain more than the sanctity of another human life?

@TheEmilySee what the fuck is wrong with you?? You and this douche bag think it’s funny that someone made you a necklace out of taillight at the expense of John O’Keefe? Absolutely disgusting
When will this MENACE TO HUMANITY be stopped?
AIDAN KEARNEY VIOLATES IMPOUNDMENT ORDER IN CRIMINAL CASE
During the course of his criminal case @DoctorTurtleboy was given Jen McCabe's full phone extraction under an order of IMPOUNDMENT.
This impoundment order means neither Kearney nor anyone on his legal team may reveal the contents of the extraction to the public.
For the past three days in a row, while crowd sourcing answers to his interrogatories in the defamation case, Kearney has read parts of her extraction live to his audience.
Think about that.
Kearney is charged with felony witness intimidation for harassing Jen McCabe and other witnesses, he is given the full contents of her phone under impoundment, and he is violating a court order and her privacy by reading the extraction to the public. He is also using it to taint the public opinion of the witnesses in both the criminal and civil defamation case by presenting their communications in a skewed light.
My question to the Norfolk County DAs office is WHEN are you going to protect witnesses?
WHAT good is a court order when people like Aidan Kearney are given carte blanche to use protected discovery smear and harass witnesses with impounded discovery material?
@djunaperkins as incoming DA what are your thoughts on this?
In my opinion, Aidan Kearney should face the strongest sanctions available for recklessly defying a court order intended to protect the very people he is accused of victimizing. I would suggest to @BradlLawPC and @Bederowlaw you prepare your client for the consequences of his actions.
Below is a video with snippets from the past three days with Kearney violating the impoundment order.

🧵Last night @DoctorTurtleboy dismissed the career DOJ prosecutor who handled the case of the federal grand jury leaker as some “girl” Read went to high school with whose husband works for the DOJ…or something.
❗️❗️❗️WRONG❗️❗️❗️
Anne Paruti, in fact, is the one who works for DOJ (her husband has never worked for DOJ, or in law at all). She has been an AUSA for more than a decade and has run the Major Crimes Unit at the Boston USAO since 2021.
Here’s more about her:
🟢 She handled the case against Jessica Leslie, the woman who pleaded guilty to leaking sealed grand jury information, mostly about the Read investigation.
🟢 Her husband chaired Adam Deitch’s failed campaign for Norfolk DA. (Deitch is a former AUSA who questioned witnesses before the federal grand jury in the Read matter).
🟢 Paruti has co-prosecuted cases with Deitch, and he considers her a close friend.
And here’s what we know about Paruti’s ties to Read:
🟢 Paruti and her twin sister graduated with Read (a class of around 110 students) from Coyle & Cassidy in 1998. Several of Read’s courtroom regulars graduated with them, as did the twin sister’s husband.
🟢 Read and Anne Paruti followed each other on Pinterest until the connection surfaced online earlier this year. The account was then quickly deleted.
🟢 Read and the twin sister are still friends on Facebook (Anne Paruti does not have a profile on the platform).
🟢 Read attended the twin sister's 2012 wedding and commented on the wedding album on Facebook afterward.
🟢 The twin sister and Read both worked at Fidelity from 2007 until Read’s arrest in 2022.
As for Kearney, he's well aware of the Leslie case. On July 15, 2025, the day she was charged, he read the USAO press release about it on air.⬇️
But he suddenly stopped reading right before the line naming Paruti as the prosecutor and moved on to a different article while awkwardly scratching his head.🙉🙊🙈
The point is this @DoctorTurtleboy: Why describe a senior federal prosecutor in a case you’ve talked about for more than a year as “a girl” married to someone who works for DOJ...or something? Why are you playing dumb?

The TechStream data isn’t “junk.” A second chip-off conducted by the Commonwealth recovered an SD card that had been overlooked during the first chip-off, which was performed by defense experts with the Commonwealth present. That’s additional data, not proof that anyone manipulated evidence to fit a theory.
The phone’s location data also needs to be described accurately. The location encompassed only a corner of the front of the house, during a 5–8 second window but the phone’s latitude and longitude remained unchanged. There is no evidence John entered the home.
Waze data places the SUV at:
• 12:20:43 — Maplecroft Road, traveling 10–20 mph
• 12:22:43 — Oakdale, turning onto Cedarcrest, traveling 10–30 mph
• 12:24:18 — SUV turns onto Fairview after the three-point turn, traveling 20 mph
• 12:24:38 — SUV comes to its first complete stop in front of the home near the flagpole.
The “flights climbed” activity occurred while John was in the SUV with location and speed tracked by Waze.
Additionally, the battery-temperature argument leaves out a significant detail: when John was moved to the stretcher, his phone’s temperature dropped to its lowest reading of the morning, 37°F. The argument that the phone must have died outside or reached a lower temperature assumes facts that the data itself does not establish. A phone’s battery temperature is not a direct measurement of a person’s body temperature.
You can dispute the Commonwealth’s reconstruction, but calling the data junk, treating a brief location association as proof John entered the house, and asserting what the phone’s temperature must have been are interpretations, not definitive scientific findings. The evidence needs to be evaluated as a whole, not dismissed whenever it conflicts with a preferred narrative.
November 24 is a day of reckoning for Karen Read, Bill Read, Aidan Kearney, and the rest of the conspiracy mongers.
For years, they've dominated the narrative through misinformation, manipulation, and character assassination, turning John O'Keefe's death into a spectacle for clicks, cash, and content.
But the digital data and evidence have always told a very different story. A simple yet boring story that doesn't get clicks, likes, or generate cash.
Netflix will shine a light on the facts, and the people who've been vilified will finally get an accurate accounting of what really happened that night, and Karen's carefully manufactured narrative will finally begin to collapse.
Remember, the truth doesn't need a PR campaign, and data doesn't lie; people do.

At a May 2023 pretrial hearing, Alan Jackson claimed that the injuries on John O’Keefe’s arm were “deep scratch wounds and puncture wounds,” despite knowing the medical examiner had classified them as linear, superficial scratches, and that his kooky dog-lady expert wouldn’t corroborate those claims. This defense was built on a foundation of lies!

As alleged in the defamation lawsuit against them, the below Signal message shows Karen Read sending witnesses' home addresses to Aidan Kearney.
Kearney brought a crowd of approximately 100 followers to the homes of several witnesses in the John O'Keefe murder case during an event he dubbed as a "rolling rally" and screamed through a bullhorn that they were "cop killers" who should "tell the truth".
In addition to the defamation suit, Kearney has several felony witness intimidation charges pending against him, one of which is for going to Juliana Nagel's home, an address Read supplied, during that "rolling rally".
I hope he gets the help that he needs in PRISON.
For someone who repeatedly accused witnesses of killing John O’Keefe, it’s interesting to hear the blogger now say he has subpoena power and can use discovery to uncover information about who killed John.
If he was confident enough in the evidence to publicly accuse the witnesses of murder, what exactly does he need discovery to figure out?
He can’t have it both ways: certainty when making the accusation, but uncertainty when asked to prove it.
You’d think the evidence would come before the accusation, not after.
Those positions are difficult to reconcile. 👀

You hugged Janet Read outside the courtroom.
When her daughter, Karen Read, was accused of murder she ran a disgusting and brutal campaign of harassment against the witnesses in the case as her defense.
Karen Read attacked the O'Keefes.
Karen Read attacked the witnesses.
She used a blogger to send a mob deluded with lies out to harass them, their families, their children, their friends.
She destroyed their lives.
You stayed silent on the abuse.
As a member of the media had you spoken out and condemned it maybe others would have stepped forward too.
But you didn't.
To this day you haven't done a single investigative piece. Instead, you called her named henchman Aidan Kearney a "journalist."
Do not expect compassion when you spit in the face of victims. All the Read witnesses have received HUNDREDS of these messages on a daily basis. It shouldn't only matter when it happens to you.
