The nickel defense on that drive was rookie Ephesians Prysock and Renardo Green outside at CB, with Deommodore Lenoir in the slot.
Raheem Morris is trying to push every button he can. We've seen all kinda combos at CB, shuffling Lenoir inside and out. Jack Jones, Ashtyn Davis.
llegal contact on 2nd & 20.
Interception while you're driving to score.
Jump offsides on 4th & 4
Fumble on 2nd & 1, driving into the red zone
The 49ers are throwing up on themselves on every drive
That's 2 plays now in this game where Purdy should've been sacked and the offense got a first down on the play
Really seemed like the 49ers should trade for a wide receiver after that drive. Offense could barely move the ball. The MVP QB candidate only had THREE All-Pros on the field.

The 49ers are rolling with Deommodore Lenoir in the slot and Jack Jones out wide at CB to end the game.
It feels like it happens a handful of times a game. Purdy makes the offense right even when they are wrong.
Gracen Halton drew his fourth holding call of the year that drive. That's the most by a 49ers defensive tackle in a season since they traded away DeForest Buckner.
It's Week 6.
Kyle Shanahan explains the differences in the 49ers scheme from the previous coordinators to Raheem Morris and why it's making the DBs naturally more aggressive.

@KP_Show and I talk trade targets for the #49ers. Should they target the defensive front or wide receiver? Both? Neither? We discuss.

The 49ers defense pressured the QB at the 8th-highest rate in a game since 2022 vs. the Seahawks. 48.6% is their highest rate in a game without Nick Bosa. Their second-highest was last week (43.2%).
Grading every position ninersnation.com/san-francis…
Some of the differences in the 49ers' defense under Raheem Morris:
Base personnel has doubled. 35.7% (13th-highest), up from 18.5% last year.
Corners switching sides. Deommodore Lenoir is the boundary CB on 72.8% of the snaps.
They've already used 6+ DBs on more snaps (19) than all of last year (17).
Fred Warner's rushed the passer at the highest rate since '20.
Overall blitz rate is up 8%.
Keion White's usage. Primarily a 9 and a 3-tech in '25. This year, he's the only player in the NFL to log at least 10% of his snaps at 9, 7, 3, and 1-tech.
Sebastian Valdez is forcing Raheem Morris's hand. He impacted/won on 40% of his snaps.
Drew a flag. Found the ball. Made stops. Held his ground. Split doubles. Caused chaos.
Cover the name on the back of the jersey, you'd think this was one of the DTs the 49ers drafted in '25.
Best game to date for Romello Height. He finished with the 6th-highest pass rush win % among all EDGE rushers with at least 20 PR snaps in Week 4. This is why the 49ers drafted him.
FWIW, Keion White was 13th. They were winning. The ball was just coming out hot.
