Finally , 2 years later, sold the last one for like $1 in profit. Terrible return on investment but they can't all be winners.
I posted on eBay a @MrBeast nerf toy for an insane price as both a joke and a way to give a nice message to Mr.Beast. It's been up for months then suddenly I started getting messages from people calling me a scammer and one person giving me a death threat. Do people really have nothing better to do than share hate? Do they not understand it isn't a serious listing? Here is my message before I take it down.

Now, almost two years later, it is now $2 more for each of those types of milk.
Almost 9 years later, it is now $1 more for each of those types of milk.

The answer is they need to increase MSRP. For example, the 30th Ann. MSRP is like $50. So an investor could buy and flip making 2x. But work backwards - If they could sell for $150 - 13% ebay fees, -$5 shipping. That is $125 -$55 for cost = $70 profit! However- charge $100. Now it is harder to invest. 2x investment goes to .25X investment. Most wouldn't waste sitting on inventory for only 25% margin considering risk.
🚨Rant Incoming🚨 Keep Scrolling It’s now been almost 2 years since buying Pokemon product at MSRP has become borderline impossible (unless you live in the boonies and are the only customer at your local Walmart). We’re all tired of people pointing fingers at what they think is causing the problems because we already know and it’s gotten redundant atp. I want to know what people in the pokemon community think would be a good SOLUTION to the problem. Print more and increase supply? In March of 2025 (20 months ago) Pokemon released a statement acknowledging the issue of high demand vs low availability of product with a promise of printing more. It’s been almost 2 years and it solved nothing. Sets with better pull rates? 30th Anniversary has some of the best pull rates I’ve seen in the last couple of years and ETBs are still selling for no less than $130 (2x msrp) at shops and eBay a month after release. Sets with better pull rates solved nothing. Turn on notifications for X accounts and sit in a pokemon center queue for 45 min? Most people with a job and a fully functioning frontal lobe don’t have time to site it queues Monday-Friday. What do you think would be a realistic solution(s) to finally fix this issue once and for all? I’m genuinely curious to hear what people think🤝

What you're describing is called the agency problem. It's when a company has a policy to motivate the employees but it ends up causing an opposite effect that hurts the company. In this case tipping was supposed to motivate the employees to treat you with utmost respect and make you happy but it causes now employees to treat you rudely. Canceling the order was the right decision. If it happens enough eventually the company will feel the revenue drop. In which case the tipping method which was supposed to be motivational will now be recognized as an issue and will no longer be allowed at the restaurant. If this tipping trend continues where employees think they are entitled to a certain percentage then the tipping culture will change to non-existent similar to how it is in Europe.
I recently heard this story. Thoughts? “I tipped $7 on a $120 takeout order. The cashier looked at the screen, then looked directly at me. “Only $7?” I thought she was joking. “Yes, $7.” She called her manager over. He looked at me and said, “If you can afford to spend $120 on food, you can afford to leave a 20% tip.” I calmly replied, “I thought tipping was optional.” He said, “Then we have the right to refuse you service.” There were people standing behind me, listening to the entire conversation. Suddenly, I felt like I was being publicly shamed for not giving enough money. So I made a decision. I cancelled the entire $120 order, asked for my money back, and walked out. I had no problem leaving a tip. I had a problem with being told how much I was morally obligated to give, especially when I was picking up takeout rather than receiving full table service. A tip is supposed to be a gesture of appreciation, not a payment demanded through guilt or public humiliation. If businesses believe workers deserve better pay, shouldn't that responsibility fall primarily on the employer rather than the customer? But now I'm curious… Was cancelling the entire order justified, or was a $7 tip on an $120 takeout order actually cheap? I want to hear both sides.”
