I really hope 'Godzilla Minus Zero's home release comes with the IMAX sequences in full frame 1.43 aspect ratio.
A fantastic scene! The integration of the FX sequences with footage of the actors is incredible and seamless. There is a real dynamism at play here. But more than anything it's the storytelling, from Gamera's dogged defence of the chinook against Legion's relentless attacks!
Minus Godzilla when angered always looks like a raging bull that wants to do nothing more than gore its opponent.
What an incredibly evocative piece! I would love an epic space opera that details King Ghidorah's conquests of various alien civilisations.
When the posters for 'Godzilla X Kong: SuperNova' (2027) role out, I hope we get one that channels the poster Noriyoshi Ohrai created for 'Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla' (1994).
The best Godzilla film of the 90s by far. Also Takao Okawara's best Godzilla film as well. It has one of the most interesting alien invasion plots in the Godzilla series. The film has a great atmosphere and mood and the characters are great fun.
'Godzilla Minus Zero' gets the Hideo Kojima seal of approval! Love that Minami Hamabe gets an extra shout out!
TOHOシネマズ日比谷で開催された映画「ゴジラ-0.0」のジャパンプレミアに行って来た。ゴジラ好き、浜辺美波さん好きとしては、3年間待ち侘びた作品。IMAXで観た！！！想像していた通りの展開、いい方向に想像がハズレた展開、想像を絶する展開、コアファンに向けた展開(古参ファンとして感涙のシーン、ずっと絵にして欲しかったシーン)….. もう、ネタバレになるので、これ以上は、何も言えない。最後のピークのところは、観ているこちら側も、背鰭が出て、放射熱線を口から出してしまうくらいの興奮状態に。山崎監督だからなのか、“そこはかとない”「ALWAYS 三丁目」な風情もある。11/5日本公開。公開されたら、あと何度かIMAXで観る。
