ALT It's been 6 years since Player vs Hunger launched. In that time, we've done so much to help not only our local community but also communities around the country. We've met and worked with so many great people and organizations. We've seen the ability video games have to bring people together and how that can be harnessed to do good. Whether it was simply people advocating for our cause or organizing their own fundraisers, gaming, in all of its forms has shown that it can be a powerful tool for mutual aid and charity. After much thought and discussion, we've decided it's time to close down Player vs Hunger indefinitely. Over the next couple of months, we'll be working to dissolve the organization. Sustainability is our primary concern. We would rather make the decision on our terms. Any remaining assets will be transferred to another, yet to be decided, tax-exempt organization.

ALT This was a hard decision to make. Please know we don't see this as a failure, but as a changing of approach. Our focus on helping marginalized and BIPOC communities isn't changing. Individually, we'll continue to support our communities and focus on hunger issues. We encourage you to do the same. It's been our privilege and pleasure to work with all of you throughout our existence. So many fond memories. We've laughed and cried with you. We would love to hear your stories and experiences from your time supporting us and over the next few days we'll share ours. We'll be keeping our social media channels open to provide disaster relief notifications and to encourage others to support local mutual aid programs. Thanks for believing in us. The Player vs Hunger Team
