In my remarks before signing on the contract, I invoked the spiritual dimension to this. Speaking at Mapeera House, named after Father Siméon Lourdel, who pioneered Catholicism in Buganda in 1879, I acknowldged Centenary Bank as the league’s Official Banking Partner for the 2026/27 season, making it the first indigenous bank to pioneer a partnership with the league in nearly six decades. The package includes Shs100 million in cash, Shs100 million in media promotion, Shs4 million for season awards and GonzaPay online ticketing. Coming after Government’s Shs5.5 billion boost, the deal signals rising corporate confidence in the league and promotes financial inclusion.
