Dammit was the mascot of a U.S. Marine dive bomber squadron and the only female to see combat during the Battle of Guadalcanal in 1942. She served as an early warning system because her acute hearing allowed her to detect approaching aircraft. When Marines saw her dart into a foxhole, they knew to prepare for an air raid. Dammit also produced kittens named Helldiver, Hellcat, Hellion, and Hellbent that became mascots for other squadrons. Her smallest kitten was deemed unfit for military service and simply named Hello. #cat #cats #catlovers

Perhaps this is almost fitting. What's left of the spirit that built it, honestly? I had similar feelings about all the statues being pulled down a few years ago; is it not a greater shame for such monuments to look out over the ruins of what they once represented?
Adolf Hitler’s historic “Eagle’s Nest” retreat in Bavaria, Germany, has been engulfed in flames. German police have detained a suspect as authorities investigate possible arson. No injuries have been reported, and the extent of the damage remains unclear. Follow: @AFpost

It seems that the "autism" in this sphere, which is a shorthand for disagreeableness in general but in certain individuals a dead serious diagnosis, on occasion stops being a good thing and motivates useless infighting and useless inquiries.
