He stressed why sustainable development must outlive the tenure of political officeholders, maintaining that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President @officialABAT is designed to ensure that economic reforms deliver lasting social benefits, with investments in essential public services.
Senator @KashimSM stated this on Friday while commissioning the ultra-modern Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital (KIUTH) and two schools in Maiduguri, Borno State.
He described investments in healthcare and education as essential to economic productivity, national development and the recovery of communities affected by insecurity.
I reunited with my Fullo cousins, who are entrusted with the safety and security of Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital, in Maiduguri today. How I’ve missed their warmth, wit and good-natured banter! 😁

The National Economic Council (NEC) has endorsed a 90-day economic action plan proposed by the @FinMinNigeria to consolidate gains from President @officialABAT’s economic reforms.
The plan focuses on reducing the cost of living, improving food affordability, attracting investment, and accelerating the delivery of projects with direct benefits to Nigerians.
The Council’s endorsement on Thursday followed a presentation by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. @taiwoyedele, during its 161st meeting, held virtually and chaired by Vice President @KashimSM.
This is just as the Vice President said that while President @officialABAT’s economic reform programme was designed to achieve broader national prosperity, governments at all levels have a responsibility to translate its objectives into improved living conditions for Nigerians.
The 90-day action plan identifies five priority areas: food affordability, tax harmonisation, completion of high-impact projects, resolution of investment bottlenecks and regulated household support.
NEC also approved the establishment of a national dashboard to track ongoing projects across the federation, with particular emphasis on transparency, accountability and accurate reporting of how proceeds from fuel subsidy removal are being utilised.

The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, constituted the committee on Tuesday during a high-level meeting on agricultural sector performance and strategic interventions at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Senator @KashimSM charged members of the committee to cross-pollinate ideas and come up with a blueprint on implementing strategic interventions in the agricultural sector.
The meeting came as a sequel to a larger meeting with President @officialABAT last week, where agricultural and other multi-sector stakeholders were present.

I was delighted to welcome the leadership and members of the City Boy Movement, @CityBoyMedia, to the State House yesterday evening. Together with the Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria @RelaxTIFN team and other youth support groups from across the country and the diaspora, we shared a warm and personal evening.
Since 2022, and for three years, you have defended this administration in the markets, on campuses, in motor parks and on social media, often when it was unpopular to do so. You understood why difficult decisions had become necessary and why Nigeria could not keep borrowing to postpone them. I have seen your commitment, and I will never forget it.
What the Movement has built deserves recognition. Over 4.8million verifiable members, organised across our states and local governments, reaching into wards and polling units. A contact centre speaking with young Nigerians every day. Through City Boy Care, you are supporting members in their communities.
I was particularly impressed by the launch of #AskCityBoy, which uses super intelligence to help Nigerians understand what their government is doing through simple, everyday conversation. As the Speaker of the House, @Speaker_Abbas, observed, you have built a Movement prepared to answer Nigerians’ questions wherever they are.
I am proud of you. I encourage every Nigerian, including our critics, to visit askcityboy.com and ask the questions that matter to you.
To Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria, your name carries a promise. I appreciate the conviction with which you have taken that message across our country.
Your confidence in me carries a responsibility I take seriously. Our reforms must translate into better opportunities for Nigerians and greater security for our families. Through NELFUND, students can pursue their education with financial support. CREDICORP is expanding access to consumer credit, while 3MTT is helping Nigerians acquire skills for a changing economy. We will keep extending these opportunities.
The coming election concerns the future we are building together. Get your PVC and encourage your neighbours to get theirs. Organise peacefully and lawfully. Take our record to Nigerians and make your case with conviction.
To my son Seyi, who started this quietly and without asking for a title, you have only started. There is much more you can do for our people, and I expect you to keep going.
To everyone who has given their time and resources to this Movement, I appreciate you.
Your hope, my hope, has been renewed. Thank you.

The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, has said the growing northern support for President @officialABAT’s re-election is not a blank cheque, and the administration will earn it through facts, radical transparency and measurable results.
Speaking directly to the political stakes, he maintained that expanding loyalty in the region demands greater accountability and an honest dialogue with citizens about ongoing reforms undertaken by the @officialABAT administration.
Senator @KashimSM, who spoke on Saturday in Abuja when he unveiled the Arewa for Asiwaju Campaign Head Office and formally inaugurated the campaign structure of the northern think tank, expressed a firm belief that the North has spoken with a resounding voice and unmistakable conviction in its support for the President.
According to him, renewed political confidence should never be taken for granted, as the government and its supporters must continue to engage Nigerians on the basis of facts and demonstrate how the ongoing reforms are improving security, livelihoods, and economic opportunity.
“By now, I believe the North has spoken. We have spoken with a resounding voice and unmistakable conviction. From Adamawa to Zamfara, from Borno to Niger, we have spoken. Such confidence places an obligation upon us that no officeholder should ever underestimate,” he stated.

The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, has called on Governor @biodunaoyebanji to honour the sacred verdict of the Ekiti electorate by raising the bar of governance and prioritising youth empowerment in his second term.
According to him, the governor will justify the people’s mandate if he keeps faith with citizens whose voices are not often heard, maintaining that the Ekiti people have weighed the record before them and issued their judgment in Oyebanji’s favour.
Representing President @officialABAT on Friday at Governor Oyebanji’s second-term inauguration in Ado-Ekiti, Senator @KashimSM framed the event’s joy as a paradox: the louder the applause, the greater the obligation it announces.
He acknowledged that the governor earned his second term through his capacity to listen without succumbing, his courage to take decisions, and his display of “composure, respect for institutions, and a refusal to mistake public office for personal grandeur”—qualities he described as uncommon virtues.

The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, has said Nigerian students must have a voice in national decision-making, insisting that young Nigerians should be regarded as stakeholders in the country’s present, not merely its future.
He said the administration’s interventions, particularly the student loan programme and sustained attention to the welfare of academic staff, are designed to keep young Nigerians in school, reduce the financial burden on families and prevent recurring strikes from disrupting learning.
Senator @KashimSM stated this on Wednesday while receiving a delegation of national student leaders from across Nigeria at the State House, Presidential Villa, Abuja. He noted that Nigerian students must transition from future prospects to active architects of today’s national policy.
“We do not need you for politics. We need you because you are the future of this country. What we have done differently is to give you a place in its present. There is no way to rebuild Nigeria without a place for the Nigerian student at the table where decisions are made,” he stated.
The Vice President said President @officialABAT is determined to sustain a more stable academic calendar across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions by deepening reforms in education financing, student welfare and engagement with lecturers.

In the bid to strengthen legal processes and expedite criminal prosecutions, President @officialABAT has asked the judiciary to dismantle the procedural loopholes and flawed prosecution tactics that allow for the escape from justice.
He demanded an aggressive overhaul of the justice system to ensure that no well-connected individual can manipulate technicalities to evade the full, crushing weight of the law.
Speaking on Tuesday in Abuja during the annual EFCC/NJI Capacity Building Workshop for Judges and Justices, the President, who was represented by his deputy, Vice President @KashimSM, urged the judiciary to interrogate existing statutory frameworks against the backdrop of emerging financial crimes.
“Probe prosecution strategies, dismantle outdated precedents, and seal procedural gaps that politically exposed persons and organised crime actors exploit to delay or frustrate trial,” he stated.
The Nigerian leader warned that while financial and economic crimes pose an existential threat to Nigeria, corruption has no respect for status and spares no arm of government.

He called on leaders across the region to unite into a single front and work for the progress of the area and the well-being of its people, which are top priorities for the @officialABAT administration.

He said the administration is shattering barriers to unleash an unstoppable wave of women’s empowerment across Nigeria, a decision he said is premised on the conviction that women are the backbone of every nation and the livewire of economic activities in every society.
The Vice President stated this on Monday when he received in audience the Nigerian Women for Tinubu/Shettima 2027 (NWFTAS 2027), an All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg) women’s support group for the re-election of President @officialABAT and his deputy, led by its Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), High Chief (Dr.) Bisola Sodipo Edwin Clark, and National Coordinator/Convener, CSI Elsie Morgan Mangai (Rtd).

In an aggressive bid to unlock billions in untapped wealth, Nigeria has embarked on a mega-infrastructure campaign designed to turn its agricultural sector into a primary economic powerhouse.
By resolving critical supply chain gaps and logistical bottlenecks, the country aims to de-risk agribusiness, attract significant investment, and ensure long-term food and nutrition security.
Speaking on Thursday, when he led the Nigerian delegation for the Ethiopia–Nigeria Leadership Exchange on a tour of farms and agricultural facilities in Oromia, Ethiopia, Senator @KashimSM stated that the goal is to secure Africa’s place as the food basket of the world.
He cited Ethiopia’s Oromia model as the benchmark for Africa’s agricultural rebirth, emphasising that the strategic agribusiness hub provides a blueprint for farming communities both on and off the continent.
The Vice President noted that Ethiopia has transformed its wheat production, flipping the script from importing $1 billion in wheat annually to achieving full self-sufficiency, just as he commended the massive economic turnaround, saying the nation now generates enough surplus to export to neighbouring countries like Djibouti and Kenya.
He also noted Ethiopia’s progress in rice production, observing that the country has become largely self-sufficient in the commodity.
According to Senator @KashimSM, Nigeria plans to leverage Ethiopia’s experience in advancing large-scale, mechanised and modernised agricultural production. “We intend to embrace improved seeds, mechanisation and climate-smart agriculture,” he said.
VP @KashimSM warned that food security is fundamental to national sovereignty, stressing that countries depending heavily on external food sources could compromise their sovereignty.

Speaking on Wednesday during the Nigeria-Ethiopia Nutrition Leadership Exchange Forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the Vice President said Nigeria’s National Policy on Food and Nutrition 2026–2035 had set targets to reduce the country’s stunting rate to 32 per cent by 2029, 28 per cent by 2032, and 25 per cent by 2035.

He noted that, driven by the Renewed Hope Agenda, the administration has built a diversified, high-growth economy—unlocking the potential of agriculture, manufacturing, and the digital and creative industries to shift the landscape away from single-sector dependence.
Speaking on Tuesday in Abuja during the fifth anniversary of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (@NUPRCofficial), the Nigerian leader, who was represented by his deputy, Vice President @KashimSM, explained that through the joint effort of security agencies, operators, host communities, and the Commission, oil production is now steadier and stronger.

Announcing a massive drop in oil revenue dependence, President @officialABAT said, “These gains matter well beyond the oil and gas industry. Yesterday, Nigeria lost brave men and women of our Air Force in the service of our country.
This is a painful moment for our Armed Forces and for the entire nation. Our Air Force personnel put their lives on the line every day to secure Nigeria. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Behind every uniform is a family. A spouse, a child, a parent, a brother or sister who expected their loved one home. Nigeria grieves with them.
I have declared three days of national mourning and directed that our flags be flown at half-mast throughout the country in honour of those we have lost.
The Chief of Air Staff has briefed me, and I have directed the Nigerian Air Force to immediately commence a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash to prevent future occurrences.
I also commend the Nigerian Air Force for activating an immediate search and rescue operation following the accident.
We honour their service. We remember their sacrifice.
May the souls of our departed heroes rest in peace.
