I love the fact that "Person, Thing, Robot" @mitpress is available as a free download as part of the D2O (direct to open) initiative at @mitpress But there's still something about holding the physical book in your hands. Author copies arrived yesterday.

Listening to @cerysmatthews on BBC 6 about idioms. Great explanation for "it's raining cats and dogs" - something heavy and unexpected. Kept my fingers crossed you would mention "Mae hi’n bwrw hen wragedd a ffyn" - which I love as an expression. Many warm greetings from Berlin.
As the human that also reported from this event, I have many mixed feelings: diplomacy.edu/blog/will-ai-t…

Will #AI take over diplomatic reporting? Great seminar today by @DiplomacyEdu.
AI already sifts through public speeches (eg UNGA), data (e.g. reports Sustainable Dev Goals #SDG), regs/laws, meetings. Suggests words, texts.
Bottom line: Kinda boring? Then AI is able to do it

Very much enjoyed @FryRsquared’s ‘Hello World’. It might already be 5yrs old, but in these days of #ChatGPT mega-hype, still feels as fresh as a daisy…
