I am intrigued to read this book (probably because I’ve spent my entire life with a Venice-obsessed mother who can literarily reroute any trip to “stop over for a quick trip” to Venice because “it’s basically on the way.”)

Obviously there weren’t any actual nursing mothers involved in the set up of the nursing mothers room... I’m new to #AWP but seems to be there needs to be a parent rep on the board?
I get that we’re a small contingent of writers, but this is the AWP nursing mothers room. I had to go downstairs to get the only key. The outlets don’t work. Four ppl have asked to be let in. None are parents.
I’ve loved my #awp2023 experience so far, but this is demoralizing.
Also makes me grateful that my other “go-to conference” (the @DanceStudies Association) specifically welcomes nursing parents in their registration materials. This is what happens when women- who are very much in touch with their bodies- are in charge.
