Right now, a multi-millionaire in Canada could pay a lower marginal tax rate than a nurse. We’re changing that. We’re asking the wealthiest few to pay a little more — to pay their fair share.

Well said @karinagould - the rights and freedoms of Canadians that are enshrined in the Charter are non negotiable.
When someone tells you they will start taking your rights away, believe them. And when that someone is Mr. Poilievre, remember he's done it before. This long weekend, tell him the Charter belongs to Canadians and to keep his hands off of our rights and freedoms.

If you read the Winnipeg Free Press, you already know that Tom Broadbeck is columnist who tends to lean conservative. Pierre’s Poilievre’s plans to override the Charter are extremely dangerous. If you are progressive or moderate, please remember this when you vote.

People like me didn’t have equal rights until the Charter. Within my lifetime. So, I am vigilant about those rights. What Pierre Poilievre said this week about minority rights, the notwithstanding clause and the Charter is chilling.

Pierre is not being silenced, he’s dodging denouncing white supremacy. Never thought I’d see a day a leader of an opposition party disrespecting parliament in this manner! History will remember. Pierre doesn’t care about Canadians.
Pierre Poilievre refuses to disavow right-wing extremists. He has adopted the same dangerous political rhetoric. Today, his bullying tactics hit a new low with yet another temper tantrum. This is not leadership.

This is not true. The Speaker asked Mr. Poilievre to withdraw the term for calling the prime minister a wacko, not for calling the policies wacko.
BREAKING: Today the Liberal speaker censored me for describing Trudeau's hard drug policy as wacko. 6 people dying from overdoses every day in BC is wacko. Kids playing next to used syringes is wacko. Nurses worried about breastfeeding after breathing in toxic drug fumes is wacko. This is a wacko policy from a wacko PM that's destroying lives.

Pam, you have been a remarkable Member of Parliament and I have enjoyed working alongside you to serve our #Oakville community. Sad to see you leaving politics. Now more than ever, we need to engender a supportive environment for women in politics. #AddWomenChangePolitics

Worth listening to @MarkJCarney's full clip...
🔥When politicians like @PierrePoilievre claim our great democracies are broken, it's not because they want to fix them. It's because they want a license to demolish.🔥 Former BOC governor @MarkJCarney: "It's a model that has been used time and time again. Create an external constraint to starve the beast of government in a misguided view that slashing will lead to growing." #Cdnpoli

Kirsty, thank you for asking these important questions. I will be watching for the answers from our government.
April is #CancerAwareness month. To everyone who is hurting and to everyone supporting, know that you are in my heart and thoughts every day. I wish I could lighten your days. I have asked the government questions on cancer, diagnosis, treatment, and research. @cancersociety

Canada is a fortunate country - much of the stability we can take for granted is thanks to the leadership of the Rt. Hon. Brian Mulroney. He was Green before it was cool, a leader on free trade, a staunch advocate for children and a kind, generous man. Condolences to his family.

Your dad sure would be proud, Cathy! So am I. I can’t think of anyone more committed to public service. Voters would be well served with you at Queens Park.

Admire you so very much, Marci Ien
.@ABDanielleSmith wants to “depoliticize the issue”. The company she's kept tells a very different story. What world do conservatives want by targeting the vulnerable? Young people have the right to be who they are. I stand with them, their Prime Minister stands with them. ⬇️

Sad, but not surprised to see David Lametti resign as Liberal MP. Working with David over my time in office I was impressed with his caring attitude about numerous files. He was definitely one of the good guys. Good luck with your new gig David!
