The state may have extra snow & cold temperatures, but it was warm in Ludington. Amazing candidates interested in the open regional #MiSTEM Director position to keep #STEM opportunities growing.

Computer Science in Ludington? You bet! Gotta' love it when you take your 8 year old to soccer try-outs and you bump into a data scientist and a cybersecurity professional who work remotely from Ludington.

This year, the elves are engaging my kids (ages 7 & 10) in a Christmas Kindness Challenge. I hope that this will remind my children to always look for kindness and to act accordingly. I'm sharing this in case you want to do the same with your kids.

As more tech companies become “virtual-first,” allowing employees to work from anywhere, cities and states will compete to attract them. It also means CS education can land students a high-paying Silicon Valley tech job from any city. cnbc.com/2020/10/13/dropbox-…

@KathySurd can you help?
Teachers are inspirations. This is my daughter delivering chocolates to health care workers in town. Why? Because one of the remote learning assignments from her teacher was to perform an act of kindness. Awesome! Required no technology! (And, yes, she's wearing a Lions shirt!)

Locks for Lent - My daughter often gets compliments on her hair. As she reflected on what she could do for Lent, she found a Michigan non-profit that makes wigs for kids in need due to medical conditions. She inspired myself and our friend, Mrs. Amber, to join her in donating.
