I am following with concern the grave humanitarian situation in Yemen, particularly in the city of Taiz, where the population is suffering from a lack of food, water and medical care. I make a heartfelt appeal for hostilities to cease and for the Yemeni people and all the peoples of the region to be guaranteed the right to live in peace.

Last week, the Center for Jewish Civilization hosted Marie Harf and @Katulis for a conversation on how Middle East tensions impact the 2026 U.S. midterms. They highlighted shifting U.S.-Israel relations, factional debates and rising isolationism.

A real privilege to take part in this session on transatlantic ties featuring fmr Lithuanian President @Grybauskaite_LT German Bundestag member @RKiesewetter European Parliament member @AlexandrVondra-Also grateful for cooperation with @JakubKlepal and his @Forum_2000 colleagues
Russia’s shadow war is not one country’s problem, and it will not be solved by one country’s response. Attacks on infrastructure, information, and democratic institutions now stretch from the Baltic to the Black Sea. On the main stage at the Forum 2000 conference in Prague, CEPA Vice President @Walker_CT, former Lithuanian President @Grybauskaite_LT, and @RKiesewetter of the German Bundestag examined why the transatlantic partnership remains essential to confronting it. The session, co-organized by CEPA and Forum 2000 and moderated by MEP @AlexandrVondra, looked at the price both sides would pay for drifting apart. cepa.org/programs/global-sha…

A warm, kind soul & sharp mind. A few weeks ago, Aziz came to our home for dinner with friends & ended up playing basketball in the backyard with our son. When I shared the sad news, our son recalled how friendly & supportive Aziz was, telling him to follow his dreams.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think this latest public diplomacy campaign coming out of #Israel is going to do much about the growing doubts & skepticism it faces in Europe & America these days…
#Breaking: European diplomats, including French and Polish representatives, who went to the West Bank to observe the olive harvest, have been violently assaulted by Israeli settlers.
