Dating an insecure person can be emotionally exhausting. You constantly find yourself explaining your intentions, defending your actions and proving your loyalty, even when you've done nothing wrong. Their insecurities can turn into jealousy, unnecessary accusations, controlling behaviour and constant arguments. The problem isn't always their insecurity. It's when they make you responsible for managing it. You can reassure someone, love them and support them, but you cannot heal insecurities they refuse to work on.
