Agreed.
I went through a phase a little while back where I became preoccupied and even paranoid over every outfit I would wear, fearing that I was causing problems for other people, and harming my witness if I chose to wear my even my leggings with my tunic shirts that covered everything.
And a lot of this obsession came from the loud voices yelling at women for daring to wear any article of clothing that even so much as showed that she has shape at all to her body.
This legalism accomplishes the opposite of what the Pharisees intend it to.
For many women, it will bring about serious rebellion.
But for some women with weaker consciences it may strike fear in their hearts and force them to carry a burden they’re not expected to carry.
Maybe that’s actually the goal. And what good will that do?
My 2nd hot take of the day:
Turning every question of clothing into a discussion about whether something is sexualized or immodest can itself become a form of sexualization.
If your first instinct when you see a crop top, short skirt, tight dress, or bare shoulders is to ask what sexual message a woman is sending, you may be assigning sexual meaning to her clothes that she never intended in the first place.
Sometimes clothes are just clothes. People wear things because they like how they look, because they're comfortable, because of the weather, or simply because that's what they felt like wearing that day.
There is something deeply ironic about treating women's clothing as perpetually sexually meaningful in the name of opposing sexualization.
If every hemline, neckline, and exposed inch of skin has to be filtered through the categories of "modest" and "immodest," then sexuality is still being made the central lens through which women's bodies are viewed.
And I think that kind of fixation is both exhausting and, in its own way, a little perverted.
🔥🔥🔥
I have a family to care for and that is my priority. Just because I didn’t reply to your nonsense earlier does not make me incapable. I choose whether or not to engage with you. So let’s get that straight off the top. 2nd, I am Gen X, and your lack of respect for a brother in Christ is despicable, as is your disdain for any other culture. 3rd, I will defend a brother in Christ from another nation more than the kinist opposite me on this keyboard that claims Christ but knows him not. At the same time, I do believe that not all cultures mix well and I am against this replacement policy of the wicked Democrats such as Schumer, et al. But let’s remember that it is Christ that binds us together, not melanin. I am also against the Islamification of this country and importing 3rd world immigrants illegally. I hate Islam and other religions because they deny Christ and also Islam is not compatible with Western civilization. But as for the debate on immigration and deportation, I am in favor of the current policies. It is because of Christ that we give our brother, @SlowToWrite, the benefit of the doubt.
I have a VERY difficult situation I’ve been invited into by someone I love dearly, and though I cannot share what is happening, I’m feeling a lot of pressure to guide this individual in a Godly and loving way while being firm in the truth.
I’m often quite clumsy, and I can struggle with fear of upsetting people.
Please pray that I might be given wisdom and this young lady will have a soft heart and receive it.
So, Nora puts on a tiny bit of weight and she’s now even more cute and cuddly than before- why can’t it work that way for me?
The worst people on the app are already starting in with more of their degenerate and disgusting behavior.
Ignore and block.
As for me, because I’m already feeling really mouthy, I’m logging off.
I’ll only get myself into trouble. 😑
Hope you all have a relaxing and peaceful weekend. ❤️❤️

Today on this app will be insufferable and ugly due to the deportation of Samuel Sey.
Have a nice day and don’t read the comments.
May the Lord be close to the Sey family.
😢
My heart aches for this family.
From Annie Sey: The Sey family would like to thank our brothers and sisters from across the world who have sent messages, offered prayers, and supported us financially through this very difficult time. We sincerely believed we were following the legal process, which we continue to respect. Sadly, Samuel was removed from the U.S. and is in Canada as of today, October 30. Although this has been devastating to our family and the outcome is not what we had hoped, we will trust God’s sovereign plan and work to reunite our family.
GROK basically just told me that my attitude is trash.
And I’m not sure that’s inaccurate 🤣🤣🤣
I got roasted by AI.
I get the feeling, based on comments I’m seeing this morning in response to the updated information on Sam Sey, that there are professing Christians that actually don’t want to find out that maybe a brother in Christ didn’t break any laws.
Weird, that. 🤔
Amen 😢
🙏
During the night, according to jail records, Samuel Sey’s status became listed as “Out of Custody” due to “General Release.”
A text message sent out via a notification service also mentioned release.
Working to learn more. The ICE App, which can take a full day to update, still shows him at CCNO.
A fellow Saint was attempting to message him through the jail service when the software was updated to mention he was no longer held there.
Keep praying for the family!!!
