Purely on an aesthetic level, Test cricket under the bright South African sky at Newlands most surely be the the most delightful form of Test cricket there is.
I can’t think of another ground that comes close in that regard.
If anyone would care to suggest an alternative…
Went on the @surreycricket ‘Surrey beyond the boundary’ exclusive members tour this morning. A great way to see some parts of the ground including the men’s changing room, the Committee Room, the broadcasting suites and the press room plus a talk by a member of the ground staff
Yay!! International tickets for men and women next summer at The Oval all booked!! Bring on the Aussies!
Now to work out how to pay the credit card bill when it comes in!! 😨 🤔
A lovely evening at The Union Jack club tonight, hearing from @RafNicholson about the history of Women in Cricket, organised by @CricketSociety

Head Coach Gareth Batty is to leave the Club to take up a role with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
The Club would like to thank Gareth for overseeing a highly successful period in its history. As Head Coach, Surrey won three County Championship titles in a row from 2022-2024.

Surrey's Ralphie Albert will skipper England U19s in the Youth ODIs and Test Match in Pakistan this December. 👏
Albert will be joined by Surrey Academy quick Marley Simpson for the ten-day training camp in Sri Lanka in the lead-up to the Pakistan series.

Had a fun night. In no universe would I ever consider myself any type of Arsenal fan. These two were good value tonight! Thanks Perry Groves and Paul Merson, and The Star at Sidcup Place for hosting!
This could easily become something under my ‘snackccident’ category @SlimSugar ! Beware, it has a bit of an after kick!!

What a TREMENDOUS evening!
Certainly the best night we've had in the Parish for as long as I can remember. Laughter, celebration and, of course, some siliness.
Our utmost thanks go to @norcrosscricket for hosting the event!

I’d like to direct @surreycricket members to the interview that The Gaffer, Alec Stewart, has done with @norcrosscricket, recently posted on YouTube.
An honest reflection of 2026 and looking forward to 2027.
