Certainly didn’t help the offense find rhythm early. I wouldn’t call it bad though. If anything, overcoming adversity tonight gave me more confidence in this team. They won a rock fight with a team that loves rock fights. Haven’t seen #TXST do that since #ULM in 2023.
All things considered, this probably hurt us more in the long run than anything. Gave them the ball back and our offense only touched the ball for maybe 2 minutes the entire first quarter. Never let the offense really find their rhythm. Gritty win @Keff_C
No matter the circumstance on the field, you can find Tom Madden rallying the Bobcats in Section 202. Supreme tier Sicko. Couldn’t have picked a better night to run into him.
@TXSTATEFOOTBALL it’s always better to win then get bent! Right @Keff_C ! Hats off to those Utah State Aggies! Never seen a team stymie a @GJKinne offense like they did. Special shout out to the defense and all the Sickos that stayed cheering us on to victory! So many @txst @txstatealumni fans stayed to the end and sang our Alma Mater!

Second consecutive offensive series for #TXST without Torrance Burgess Jr. He’s warming up on the bike on the sideline.
TOUCHDOWN #TXST
14-9 Bobcats regain the lead
10:10 left in the 3rd quarter
Brad Jackson takes it in himself, caps a 12-play, 78-yard drive. Methodical drive by the Bobcats' offense.
Just the second time the #TXST offense has failed to score in the first half with GJ Kinne as coach. The first time was 2024 at Old Dominion. Trailed 14-0 at the half, lost 24-14.
First time this season the #TXST offense failed to score in the first half.
HALFTIME

Texas State had 13 plays for 18 yards its first four drives. Last drive alone went for 13 plays and 54 yards. Ended on a missed 48-yard kick by Jacob Bonilla.
Bobcats not out of it, but an ugly game like this is exactly what the Aggies wanted.
