I'd like to remind Trump administration that after Iran war started, Ukraine deployed experts and technology to the Middle East to help Gulf states defend themselves against Iranian drones and protect US bases in the region, while Russia provided targeting information to Iran.

As many of us have been saying for years, he's a conman who played white evangelicals for fools. And they lined up to lay down their integrity and public witness and take the mark...I mean bait.

I sometimes get asked why I switched from spending most of my time fighting the Left to debating within the Right.
The culture is changing in a fundamental way. I'm convinced the future is right-wing.
The only question is whether it will be right-wing socialism run by petty and stupid tyrants, or right-wing liberty ordered by a virtuous populace. I will fight and die to make sure it's the latter.

Russia/Ukraine is not a “both sides” moral equivalence thing. One side is the evil aggressor. The other side is defending their sovereign homeland.

At minimum, we should note that if a Democratic administration had a White House press secretary who had worked for a Chinese law firm in Beijing for years, we would already have a Dinesh D’Souza documentary, a special episode of Tucker Carlson, a week’s worth of programming from Glenn Beck, and about a hundred Donald Trump social media posts about it.

Republicans, including a lot of pastors, have spent a decade telling voters that a candidate’s faith and morals are now beside the point because of what’s at stake, and independent voters in Texas have been listening. Talarico is attacking Paxton for corruption in office. Paxton is attacking Talarico for his religion. Republicans, and pastors, told voters which of those should count, so the voters of Texas are now weighing a heretic in the Senate against a man who used public office for personal gain and swindled people along the way. Republicans are baffled that the race is close. They should not be. After all, Texans aren’t electing a pastor, and corruption is the number two issue on voters’ minds.

Imagine promising to spend $1.3 trillion handing out checks while campaigning against socialism.

Speaker Mike Johnson: "If we lost the midterms -- heaven forbid, if we lost the majority in the House -- it would be the end of the Trump presidency in a real effect."

Blue tsunami: Republicans are now playing defense deep in red America, with GOP-aligned groups spending money in more than a half-dozen districts that Trump won by at least 15 points in 2024.
“The numbers are somewhere between shitabulous and craptastic,” a top Republican advising several federal races across the country told Axios. “It looks worse than 2018 now. Trump is heading to Bush 2006 levels.”
This has been my mindset since y'all re-nominated Trump & turned the pary over to the worst of the worst of the GOP in 2024. – at White Settlement, TX
"We are fighting for survival."
Matt Bell, 52, has been farming for more than half his life in central North Carolina.
He grows soybeans, corn and wheat and raises beef cattle on more than 1,000 acres. But Bell, who voted for President Trump, says soaring prices for fuel, fertilizer and equipment are hurting his farm and leading some of his fellow farmers to consider calling it quits once this growing season ends.
"I do not want any Americans to feel sorry for the American farmer," Bell said. "I want the Americans to be mad that we have been put in this situation."

There’s a pretty simple explanation for that UT photo.
For years, the top 6% of Texas high school students got automatic admission to UT. Now it’s the top 5%. It’s completely colorblind. It’s just class rank.
Asian kids are about 5% of Texas graduates, but roughly 21% of the kids hitting a 1180 SAT/24 ACT benchmark. Absolutely kicking ass.
And UT’s own numbers make the “foreign students” explanation pretty hard to square. Only about 4% of UT undergrads are international students.
What we’re looking at is immigrants and the children of immigrants doing all the things YOU SAID you wanted immigrants to do: come here legally, work hard / succeed academically, and assimilate into our culture.
Check. Check. Check.
I’m starting to think your problem with this picture might be something else entirely....

This is the Republican nominee for statewide office. Are other Republican elected officials going to condemn the intolerance and racism, or look the other way while it becomes normalized. This is how great political parties self-destruct. Sad.

I am no fan of Talarico. I think he’s a legit weirdo and goober. But from what I know about Jesus’s teachings, Paxton has violated more of them than Talarico.
Now, it’s totally fair to say none of this should be a criteria for a senate race. But I’m not the one making Jesus the standard.

The Republican National Committee’s video repurposed biblical language applied only to Jesus by the Spirit. They want us to believe God made a corrupt man (one like you and me) our “Shepherd,” who would “never leave or forsake” us.

Rebuilding it would have turned it into an office park again. You’d have have people responding to slack messages and eating sad little slop bowl meals at their desks atop a mass grave everyday. Let me be clear, turning ground zero into an office building where you have some “grindr for dogs” tier VC backed tech startup headquartered on the 57th floor WOULD be the most American thing to do. Luckily, more tasteful minds have prevailed.
Can I just say… I despise this. Just two open wounds in downtown Manhattan that we failed to rebuild.
We could’ve built a beautiful 9/11 memorial and still built back the twin towers bigger and better than before. Instead we have these gaping holes, a monument to the weakness and incompetence of the people running NYC.
Honor the victims and REBUILD.
An open wound is exactly what I realized 9/11 is when trying to describe it to my high school classes today. Al Queda has been defanged & Bin Laden is dead, but that does not heal the multiple levels of trauma our nation experienced that day. – at White Settlement, TX
