One thing people need to understand is that we’re not all chasing the same things in life. Some people want financial freedom, others want love, a family, a degree, property, a car, or the freedom to see the world. Whatever matters to you, go after it with everything you have.
You want to get married? Do it. Build a house? Go ahead. Further your education? Hit the books. Start a family? Beautiful. Travel the world? Book that flight. Buy your dream car? Make it happen.
But please, stop measuring other people’s progress against your own priorities. Just because something is important to you doesn’t mean everyone else should be working towards it at the same stage of their lives.
We all have different goals, timelines, circumstances and definitions of success. Focus on your own journey and let other people live theirs. Life isn’t a competition to see who achieves the same things first.
