It's not even a mindset, it's genuine low IQ morons who get some sort of primal satisfaction from watching people get hurt. Spanish football fans (for example) enjoy watching football for the technical brilliance, even in lower leagues, but English lower league fans have nothing but spite for talented footballers and just want to see people kicking the shit out of each other. That's why all they can say is the "games gone soft"
