“...Popcorn dieting, mouse torturing, cat raring, wine enthusiastic, Sauti Sol video worthy Einstein Mary Poppins.”
Wow! 😂
Does any kind person want to add a crazy hip hop beat to this? Edit the breaks and give us something.
Pause! Is this the original tweet?
At one point in secondary school, we all took literature lessons. Remember simile and its relative hyperbole?
Literary devices aside, this is HER experience.

Since 2020 when I first watched the Gentlemen, I’ve gone back at least once every year. Good stuff!
Sharp dialogues, punchy monologues, beautiful craft.

“Ô Cameroon!” is a book covering 100 years of Cameroonian - 1925 to 2025.
Our art history is fragmented and it’s pieces stolen. This book —in the author Ozong Agborsangaya-Fiteu’s words— is an act of cultural recovery & restitution.

I made Ndole last night and it had me thinking. Who woke up one morning and said Ndole is Cameroon’s national dish? Do we have a national dish?

I first heard this song in 2017. I was alone in my best friend’s room when I heard it blasting from her neighbour’s house. I locked up, went upstairs, stood by the door, listened intently to the chorus, typed the lyrics on Google and that’s how I found and followed Johnny Drille.
11 years ago in my small and rickety bedroom, I made this song never imagining it would become one of the songs that would define me as an artiste over a decade later.
Grateful for this gift I’ve been given and can’t wait to share it with you all again at Johnny’s Room Live 8!
Tickets in my bio or at johnnydrille.com
I also devised a plan to love Mondays and reduce the Sunday evening dread.
Limited human interaction on Sundays. I stay home, reading, eatîng and drinking things I made, the occasional poem, early bed time.
Now, if you try me on Tuesday, you will see me 😆
I glorify Thursday so much that my friends and family send me messages and cute pictures to join the celebration. My colleagues know it.
I say « Nothing goes wrong on Thursday » and it just works. I put more effort into my outfits, I dance and sing differently. Why? Thursday
