Love a good quote💚 Showing kindness is such an easy thing to do and is so so needed in this world. You will never know everything a person is feeling and going through and showing kindness can just change someone's entire day and outlook. #KindnessMatters #BeKind #ChooseKindness

Delivered an inservice training today for the Therapy students. Today's topic was mental health & civility. Looking at what we can do for our patients, colleagues and our own mental health. How civility impacts patient care. And whats important to our own wellbeing @WHTTherapies

The inspiring Selma Blair discussing her MS in 2019. Love how she mentions that it looks different for every person and that it will look different again within a year. #MS #MultipleSclerosis #SpasmodicDysphonia #MSAwareness

Love this!💚 Can safely say as an OT, that measurements of furniture and space etc is so much more important and vital than we realise and can have such a huge impact on ADLs!
I was checking suitability of a hotel that has been booked for a client. It had a virtual tour with a really handy measuring feature. I was able to check door widths, bed height, toilet height, shower seat height and circulation space. If only all hotels had this feature ⭐️

I loved this illustration by @bepsychminded and saved it back in June last year. Today I started my new supervisor role! Totally wanting to print it off and stick it in on my diary now.

This winter you will see headlines about NHS services in crisis. You’ll see pictures of patients being cared for in corridors. This does not change the commitment and compassion of those working everyday to keep our NHS going. And it breaks our hearts most of all 💔

Wonderful news! As a GP who has an OT in our team I've seen the benefits for many patients. OTs are dual trained in physical and mental health so provide holistic care based on improving function and QOL. They provide effective support to help patients grow their lives.
NHS Lanarkshire is set to become one of the first health boards in Scotland to provide a primary care occupational therapy (OT) service to all local GP practices. For more information, visit nhslanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk/n…

Frosty trip for an Access Visit this morning. Was off to assess space in a patients property for equipment needs. A Physiotherapy student came along too for shadowing experience- great for the MDT to learn each others roles & see daily challenges/ tasks we may face. #AcuteOT
