Devine Protocol Development Update (5th February, 2025) We're excited to share our first development update for Devine Protocol, a prediction market protocol being built on the @SuiNetwork . As a team, we've been focused on crafting a robust, secure, and user-friendly protocol, while also exploring how to handle market resolution effectively in the absence of a native oracle on the $SUI blockchain. We released the first look of our product demo which you can view below. We also have made progress in the overall development and here are some insights into our development stage. 1. Overall Flow Complete: We're pleased to announce that the entire Devine Protocol flow has been laid out. From market creation to liquidity provisioning and final payouts, the core mechanics that power Devine Protocol are in place at a high level. This milestone paves the way for detailed implementation and rigorous testing. 2. Approaches to Market Resolution: Since the SUI network doesn't currently have an oracle service similar to UMA, we've been actively researching how best to resolve markets in a trustless manner. After our internal brainstorming, two primary options have emerged: Option 1: Manual Admin Resolution: In this scenario, all markets on Devine Protocol would require an administrator to manually confirm the market outcome once it's known. While straightforward to implement, this approach introduces a single point of trust, which may not be ideal for permissionless prediction markets. Option 2: Flexible Resolution Configuration Under this approach, market creators could choose their preferred resolution method at the time of creation: Manual Resolution - an admin manually confirms the outcome. Decentralized Oracle Integration - a homegrown solution akin to @UMAprotocol, or a bridge to UMA's oracle system, would automatically resolve markets via a network of resolvers. Although building (or bridging) a decentralized oracle solution is more complex and time-consuming, it represents the more trust-minimized route. We're currently in discussions with @buidly_ to evaluate feasibility, technical requirements, and timelines to ensure a secure, on-chain community-driven resolution process. 3. Base Wireframes Ready: On the design front, our team has produced the initial wireframes for the Devine Protocol platform. These wireframes outline the core user flows, including creating prediction markets, placing trades, and redeeming tokens. Our next steps will involve iterative design reviews and user testing to refine the user experience before moving into full development. 4. Upcoming Presale Announcement: We're also thrilled to announce our upcoming presale - an opportunity to secure early access to Devine Protocol's token and play a key role in supporting the project's growth.
