@British_Airways Hi. I appreciate it’s not BAs fault about flights but it’s a nightmare! We’ve booked a hotel through the BA portal. Will you reimburse taxis to and from the hotels you had on there? If not, how do we get there and back when this is unexpected expense? Thanks.

@British_Airways Also, our replacement flight (now two flights) is in two days time. We have accepted but might an earlier flight become available?

@Se_Railway Please could I send my thanks to Matt, who was the conductor on the 22.42 from Victoria to Gillingham. I will forever be grateful to him! I was in, I believe, an empty carriage when a man stood behind me for a few stops. There was probably nothing wrong, but I felt…

…really nervous. I don’t know if Matt picked up on my nerves when walking through the carriage or if he just stood next to the chap for some other reason but the man got off at the next stop and I could breathe again. I thanked Matt and am truly grateful. What a wonderful man!

#Safeguarding is a proactive & preventative approach that goes far beyond merely responding after an incident has occurred. It encompasses creating a culture & environment where the safety & well-being of all individuals, especially vulnerable populations, are the primary focus.
'Safeguarding isn't just about responding when something goes wrong. It's about what we do before harm happens, the culture we create, the courage we show, and the conversations we're willing to have when something doesn’t feel right.' As we mark #SafeguardingAdultsWeek 2025, the theme of Prevention: Act Before Abuse reminds us that safeguarding starts long before a crisis. It begins with awareness, empathy, and a shared responsibility to speak up early, not after the damage is done. Olatomide, from our EDIB team, reflects on how prevention also means building inclusive and resilient cultures, where people feel safe to raise concerns, challenge behaviour, and have the brave conversations that protect dignity and belonging. Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK. Here are the main symptoms. Other health problems can cause similar symptoms – but it’s important to get them checked by a GP if you have any symptoms for 3 weeks or more. #BowelCancerAwarenessMonth
