Tonight is terrible for my preferred policy outcomes but wonderful for our constitutional system.
Congress had a responsibility to keep the president in line. Congress utterly failed to do so.
So Congress gets thrown out by the people. And that’s wonderful.

I swear a lot of the convo around "test anxiety" also starts this way.
Student gets straight As but fails standardized tests? He's just bad at taking tests!
Tests scare the student while homework/quizzes/projects are a breeze? Well she must have anxiety!
The reality is that they aren't actually learning the content, their grades are heavily inflated, and the test exposes that. The student is at least subconciously aware that they don't know the actual material, so test day is hugely stressful. Not because they "have anxiety," but because they simply don't know the material and are walking into the test knowing they will fail.
Parents- don’t EVER allow a school to tell you standardized tests don’t mean anything. They mean A LOT and you are best to start figuring things out if your child is coming home with straight A’s, but below 70th percentile on MAP, I-Ready, state tests, etc. I’m not saying it’s devastating, but I am saying to ignore the teacher who says, “He gets the concepts in class and maybe he’s just didn’t test well that day.” NEVER, EVER let the conversation end there. Start finding out what’s going on.

People continue modernizing church buildings and services because the failed seeker-sensitive approach still shapes much of evangelical practice.
That approach aims to remove perceived barriers (traditional architecture, formal liturgy, older music) to attract the unchurched. Yet, U.S. attendance has still fallen sharply over decades because the model prioritizes accessibility and emotional appeal over depth or formation.
Churches need to stop adapting to the shallow cultural preferences of outsiders because—though they can be welcomed—the church doesn’t exist to serve outsiders.
Nobody seems to understand how pricing works. The price is set by other people who want their room painted and are willing to pay $2400. The price is set by the other customers.
Just got quoted $2,400 to paint a 23 by 13 foot living room.
The 4 gallons of paint it takes to do the job costs about $110 at Home Depot, or around $160 if you want Sherwin Williams.
This is not a particularly skilled job.
You went to trade school, not medical school.
You own a brush and a roller.
Stop ripping people off, contractors.
Totally different directions. Right @bryce_spalding ? ;)

The “liberalism” in the mainlines is totally concentrated in the clergy. The mainlines aren’t out of hope, literally all it takes is the laypeople going “I’m tired of this”
Join a mainline church, become very useful, pray a lot, go to seminary or get on session.
