Love the idea of the Relief Firefighter to fill in for full-time, save dollars in OT and keeps the volunteers engaged. Make them full-time employees with benefits, another great way to help with retention and morale. 17 employees for 40 000 pop. is enough according to arbitrator

It has to be said a million ways so everyone can understand. Take your ego out of the equation, only then can you be sure it's for the right reasons.

Dealing with haters can be a challenging task, but it is important to remember that their negativity is a reflection of their own insecurities. When faced with haters, it's crucial to stay confident and true to yourself.

This past weekend we gathered to celebrate service milestones in our department. We also recognized a number of retirements. Most notably, the retirement of Firefighter Robert Vannest after 55 years of dedicated service to our community. @NapaneeBeaver @kingstonist @887myFM

Shhh the #ONMLFTUs are taking a well deserved rest for the winter. Many locations visited, over 5K trained and lots of new experiences and opportunities. 2024 is right around the corner but a sincere thanks to the #OFC for the leadership and the fire service for the commitment! – at Bradford West Gwillimbury, Ontario

@KevinDuncan6 If you didn’t respond to these calls call volume would dissipate dramatically So would the budget Often budget is based on call volume not call type Maybe change who responds and which apparatus goes Leaving the million $ truck at the station Prepare plan execute

Not sending 2 paramedics & 3 Firefighters in 1.5 million dollars worth of vehicles to toe pain sounds like a good idea. We need technology and systems to help direct the right resources. There is a reason Dominos doesn't deliver pizzas in cement mixers! fireapparatusmagazine.com/fi…
