Replying to @KevinRupasinghe
This endorsement speaks volumes towards @KevinRupasinghe ‘s expertise plus skills at community engagement, advocacy. What Ward 20 needs now. Given the critical importance of this issue. For Cliffside and Birch Cliff, directly. And the City, as a precedent.

Thank you, Diane, for your support and endorsement! It's been my pleasure to work with you, addressing the issue of the STACK data centre expansion, and I look forward to continuing to do so as a Councillor you can count on - for a change. #ScarboroughSouthwest #Ward20 #TOPoli

This data centre expansion will have a big impact on our community, and we're all left with more questions than answers. Why did this get missed? The good news is there’s still a small window to act, and that's what I'm committed to doing.

“It was very clear that the councillor and his team were uninformed about what’s going on,” [Rupasinghe] said. thestar.com/gift-redeem?t=d4… Our current councillor had 3 years in office to get involved in the STACK data centre project and he didn't. 1/n

He wasn't asking questions, he wasn't looking into it, he wasn't paying attention. It's a councillor's job to know what's happening in their ward and to involve the community in conversation. We cannot count on this councillor to be our voice at the table —
