💔 The faces of two little children lost in an unimaginable tragedy in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, have now been shared, and the sight of them is almost too much to bear. James Lynch was only 8. His sister Caroline was just 6. They were found dead yesterday afternoon, November 3, alongside their 42-year-old father, Patrick Lynch, on the roadway beside a parking garage near the Mt. Lebanon municipal building on Washington Road. Around 4:22 p.m., emergency crews rushed to the scene after three people were discovered unresponsive. First responders were already performing CPR when police arrived, fighting to bring them back. It was too late. All three were pronounced dead at the scene. Mt. Lebanon Police Chief Jason Haberman confirmed investigators are not treating the deaths as accidental. Reports indicate this was a murder-suicide, with Patrick believed to have thrown both of his children from the parking garage before taking his own life. The details are still emerging, and authorities have not publicly established a motive. Speculation about what led to this serves no one. What is certain is the loss itself. James and Caroline should have been coming home from school. They should have been talking about their day, playing with friends, arguing over snacks, and looking forward to the holidays. Instead, their lives ended in a way no child should ever experience. The ordinary childhood they deserved was taken from them in an instant. Chief Haberman spoke of the trauma this would bring to the community, noting that nearly everyone in Mt. Lebanon would know someone affected by what happened. In a place where neighbors look out for one another, the weight of this is especially heavy. There are still unanswered questions about the days and hours leading up to this. For now, the only thing that matters is the two children who are gone. Please keep James, Caroline, everyone who loved them, and the entire Mt. Lebanon community in your thoughts. Rest in peace, James and Caroline Lynch. 💔 wpxi.com/news/local/mt-leban…

Virginia’s powerful Democratic state senator Louise Lucas—the same one who drove the party’s gerrymandering push—surrendered to federal authorities this morning and was charged with racketeering, money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to distribute marijuana, and gun possession. Prosecutors say she ran a trafficking and laundering enterprise with six others, several of them her own relatives, and used her Senate seat to shield it. On a wiretap she allegedly said, “I’ve gotten too old to not be greedy.” Law and order. – at Canonsburg, PA

She spent years as a left-wing activist and party member pushing open borders for North African migrants, defending them in every controversy and branding restrictionists as racists. She ran a small chic boutique in an upscale district. When looters hit her shop, she stood in the doorway and told them who she was: an asylum activist on their side who had fought for their right to stay in France. They spat on her, knocked her down, and trampled her. She survived. They emptied the store and wiped out a lifetime of work in minutes. She stood there stunned, watching the people she had spent her life championing and welcoming destroy everything she had. Because she was a high-profile defender of North African migration, French media ran her photo in front of the wrecked shop the next day. – at Canonsburg, PA

Braughler’s Dairy Queen in Washington, PA, is a family-owned franchise that has openly practiced its Christian faith for years. They play Christian music in the store, support Christian charities, and have never hidden what they believe. When corporate Dairy Queen rolled out its first-ever Halloween “Spellbound Series” promotion this year, the owners declined to participate. They stated that the campaign had taken a direction they viewed as incompatible with their faith and simply chose not to promote it. That decision triggered coordinated attacks from LGBT activist groups and others who present themselves as the “party of tolerance and understanding.” Online comments, calls for boycotts, and threats followed. The volume of harassment was serious enough that the family deleted their business Facebook page. One comment reportedly involved a plan to enter the store and engage in lewd behavior while in costume. A parody page was also created to mock the family and the business. This is not “tolerance.” It is an attempt to punish a local, independently owned franchise for declining a seasonal marketing theme on religious grounds. The same voices that demand absolute accommodation of their views treat open Christian practice as an offense that justifies harassment and economic pressure. The contrast is stark: businesses that signal alignment with causes these groups favor often receive protection or praise, while a family that simply opts out of a Halloween promotion is targeted. If you live in the greater Washington, PA area, the practical response is straightforward. Stop by Braughler’s Dairy Queen at 99 East Wylie Avenue, Washington, PA 15301. Buy ice cream, food, or a Blizzard. Support a local family-owned business that has consistently served its community while remaining consistent with its stated beliefs. Local customers deciding where to spend their money is the most direct way to reject attempts to force private businesses into promoting every cultural campaign. – at Canonsburg, PA
