He chuckled and smiled softly. "I know. And I really appreciate it. Honestly, I do."

He was gonna bury his face right into his neck. "I love you, too. Always have and always will."

He swallowed thickly and rocked on his feet slightly. "I know you want me to stand up for myself. I'm just not as confrontational as you are."

Peter jumped slightly, not expecting Steve to raise his voice. Anyone raising their voices spooked him. But what Peter got was a bit of a half-assed apology. It honestly would've been enough for him but he knew Steve wouldn't take that.

He squeaked when Steve handed him the phone and he gave him the biggest puppy dog eyes. He really didn't want to. "Steve, you don't have to do this—" But he held the phone up to his ear regardless.

He blinked a few times before realizing he was chewing his lip again and he stopped. His eyes got wide as he heard the conversation. Steve was way more confrontational than he was. Always ready to fight. This conversation didn't sound like it was going well.

He made a little "oof" sound at the smack. But he did blush at being referred to at Steve's husband. And he was very anxiously chewing on his lip because he didn't necessarily know what was going to happen.

He was chewing his lip again, swaying slightly as another nervous habit. "Steve, you don't have to. S'not that big of a deal."

He furrowed his brows slightly and gave Steve a very confused look. "What are you doing?"

"I stuttered and blabbered for a good minute before I finally got it out and I'm pretty sure the guy thought I was dumb and laughed at me after I hung up—" Don't we just live anxiety?

He doesn't mind when Steve is soft. He likes the soft. "We didn't go that far from each other." He said with a soft, confused chuckle.

The way Steve goes from 'Demanding Daddy' to 'Soft For His Boy' in no time at all could give Peter whiplash. "Uh. . .h-hi?" They didn't go very far from each other. He was a very confused boy.

. . . That's valid. Because he does often forget to do his work on time. He babbled out and only stuttered a few times during his order. So that's a win. "Uh. . .pizza should be here in about 30 minutes."

That totally wasn't fair. He chewed at the loose skin on his lip before realizing what he was doing and stopping before just calling up the local pizza place he loves so much to make an order.

He gasped and maybe covered his mouth to stop what would've been a moan. "Sorry!" He immediately let go of his lip, really forcing himself to not chew on it as he stood there, face flushed to hell, as he looked through his favorite food places.

He chewed his lip gently again, that nervous habit popping up again. He may have whined as he looked through his phone to see what sounded good for dinner.

His eyes got a bit wide. "I. . .do I have to?" Yeah, he still get a bit of anxiety calling people on the phone. Sue him.

Again. Big husband energy. He would rather Steve be too careful than just disregard everything. "N-no. I like it. It just makes me blush."

He let out the tiniest mewl. Because now he's very soft. "Stop~" He whined a bit. Not that he actually wanted him to.
