GM GOOD MORNING GOOD MANGA with a quick look at the original static pages, 20+21, from "Legacy4 ONE: The Curse of Kraam" let's have a banger day! If you never miss any posts from this monkey founder, you have probably seen page 20 in motion already. Hand-crafted with as much passion as we can pour, we hope you'll enjoy the animation of page 21 too. Well, we hope you'll enjoy every single page, from every single manga we do, because that's why we're for. 🖤🧬🤍

GM GOOD MANGA Is it tough to be a Publisher? Explaining the full spectrum of an editor's jobs would be quite scary for many since it involves a lot of administrative and behind-the-scenes duties that seem to be quite boring, yet those are compulsory. Protecting the IP rights of authors and artists and everyone involved in publishing books, manga included of course, is a very important part of the process. France has always been very careful to protect such rights and guarantee that these "products" and people behind are not to be treated like any others. The Lang law established a fixed price rule in 1981 for that matter. Retailers can only sell the book 5% cheaper that the set-price fixed by the Publisher. No unfair competition between the big retailers and the small bookstore next door. VAT is at 5.5% too which is low compared to the usual 20% standard rate to make sure prices remain accessible and inclusive too. CULTURAL GOODS need exposure and a fair-system to avoid the negative effects of being treated as a business-only kind of thing. This is why this sector is one of the toughest sectors there is. Margins are very small and only IPs hitting the thousands of copies per volume can truly become sustainable for artists and publishers to live decently and not just surviving. The snow-ball effect of such reality involves a lot of waste and pulping, aka destruction of books. Any merch produced or expansion into other media forms matter as much to secure revenue, and in many cases they become very important to secure revenue for IP owners compared to those IPs having just the book to generate income. I'm a firm believer that the web3 space can make it all more sustainable and this is why I've been here all this time, patiently building ways to make it happen. While it may seem we are doing everything wrong, following our guts and no trends, maybe the opposite is true. Combining the flavors of mediums we love, hand-crafted with passion, we believe there's something beautiful to explore here. If patience is really a virtue, we may be the proof at some point. Time will tell. Until then, we keep co-creating with all our might to deliver something that we hope you will enjoy reading and watching, and from there, eventually supporting for more. From Legacy4 and Mind Snapper Dragon, to Sengoku Fever, to our Garden Weebzine adventures, we may not be publishing lots of IPs, but we make sure to treat them all with as much care as they deserve. We may not be the best, but every step of the way we get better, and that's all that matters. Rest assured this monkey founder is not satisfied and slaps his own face pretty much every single day, but we gotta throw ourselves some flowers sometimes. Thanking all of you still following our journeys with so much patience too. Wishing you a nice day with page in motion.

I've been really heartened by all the positive feedback so far, and thankful to everyone who's expressed their passion and excitement. Thank you! I wanted to mention my thoughts on the use of generative AI to directly alter the art and pages of the manga. Even though I feel everyone should be allowed to celebrate their fandom in whatever way they choose, these quick edits really turn me off. For newer readers and people who are new to Azuki, it might be hard to distinguish between the authentic art and AI generations. These early days are an important time for a new manga to establish its visual identity and for readers to become familiar with the work as it was intended to be seen. I want to make sure that identity has the chance to take root clearly. I hope everyone can be mindful of this as they express their fandom online 🙏

Will you support Publishing Manga the weeb3 way? A like, a comment maybe, a repost. Whatever you decide to do to help us reach more people, I can only thank you in advance for taking the time to watch this MSD teaser loop of page 84 & 85, and read the post below in full. See, publishing manga IPs requires different skills, from copyrights protection, to editing with respect and care, or simply finding ways to distribute efficiently, may it be physical or digital products. As an editor and founder, but also as an artist somehow, a language lover too, and simply as a human, I will never accept to sell my soul or the people I represent using tools that are literally stealing everything from everyone. The "We don't have as much money as A or B" is a mere attempt to blur the reality of what it takes to build something meaningful and respectful. That's why we keep having SERIOUS FUN ONLY while growing our portfolio of stories, slowly but steadily. "Mind Snapper Dragon" is one of those. We say NO THANK YOU to anything that is gen-AI. Why? Obviously, because it's so paradoxical to claim loving IPs and caring for artists, while on the other hand, do all the things that destroy those same IPs and people. What kind of fandom business is this? You won't find an egonomist boss here, but the most natural dumb and stubborn mfer. The web3 space is full of people denying simple facts, avoiding debates that would end up revealing how greedy and selfish they are. Ghosting, lying, botting, scamming, this space feels like the wildwildwest in so many ways, but that's also why there's a lot of people still fighting here, so that innovation with tech doesn't rhyme with stealing and destroying what we love. After several years in here, trying to get validation from some peers I realized I have been a p*ssy for sure, afraid to be hurt, afraid to be misunderstood, afraid to be betrayed. In the end, I received it all, because I haven't found the strength to raise our voice the right way as some people constantly try to shut us down. Spaces and streams can be scary for a doxxed founder raising his kid by himself. A few years ago, when I was a teacher in France, my colleague was killed out of a messy misunderstanding that hit the whole country. And as you know, the crypto world is also full of dangers and difficulties here, because of how money make people crazy, how administration handles this new technology, or how tools like gen-AI can literally harass and destroy people's lives. But thankfully I've been given a chance to show who we truly are with the help of a few individuals and projects from here. No tagging needed, we never forget, and shall do more with those who have already shown true support. So yeah, we are still here. "Can't we bunch do nothing but bother people!?" Maybe... Sometimes I feel like Yay in this scene, riding my motorbike with my #nakama family. A bunch of weirdos daring to be free. So yeah, that's the post. tldr: We won't stop our vehicles. We won't stop daring. MSD The Genius of Analysis was created by two amazing artists, Mr Aruntiwa & Mr Montri, from Thailand. A one-shot depicting with style the Bangkok life, city of angels in the Land of Smiles! This short story deserves to be known and that's why our small team will keep publishing differently. Let me ask you again, will you support this? We certainly hope you do. Khop Khun Khrap if you made it here! THANK U! Let's keep laughing the Thai way! 5! 5! 5! Ha! Ha! Ha!
