The core message of Kidwild’s debut mixtape ‘Job’s Not Done’ is simple – an insistence that your story isn’t over just because someone else closes a door. “I want you to listen to that tape, and after you listen, you feel like you can take on the world,” he says.

When rapper Kidwild was 17, it seemed like he’d already hit the jackpot, landing a deal with Atlantic Records. “We’re rich!” he recalls telling his mum at the time, but soon he was dropped. Instead of letting it hold him back, he went all in on himself – and a handful of viral big-hitters plus new mixtape ‘Job’s Not Done’ prove it was the right move.
